Description

Beware the Rook as players trick and trump their way to victory! In the fast- paced Rook card game, players make their bid, name their trump, and try to win the trick to score. This game can be played with 2 to 6 players, either in teams or individually. In the 4-player game version, grab a partner and try to be the first team to reach 300 points to win. Partners have to work together to bid and name tricks fast, and then beat their opponents to the tricks. But watch out, the wild Rook can land and change everything! And it’s not for the better. Start with the beginner rules to get the hang of it, then switch to regular rules when everyone is ready to play for keeps. Looking for fun card games for kids and adults? Bidding and trick-taking classic card games are staples of game nights, and family card games are ideal travel games, too. Rook and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro.

Rook Club Gives a Thumbs Up
Flavor Name: standart Size: Standard - Pack of 1
These cards have been used by my Rook group and we have found them to be an excellent product. We were playing with cards purchased from a large national retailer and find the cards comparable in every way.

Rook: Perfect even for card game Rookies!
Flavor Name: standart Size: Standard - Pack of 1
Rook soared to the top of my game nights! It's the perfect blend of strategy and fun, with just a touch of chaos thrown in by the wild Rook card. The partnership element adds another layer of excitement, making teamwork key to victory. Here's what I love: Easy to learn, but challenging to master: The basic rules are simple, making it great for beginners. But the depth of strategy keeps even seasoned players on their toes. Fast-paced and engaging: Each hand is a quick burst of fun, keeping everyone involved and the energy high. Perfect for families and friends: The lack of face cards makes it suitable for all ages, while the strategic element keeps adults entertained. Portable and affordable: The small deck and simple setup make it ideal for game nights on the go, and the price point won't break the bank. Overall, Rook is a delightful trick-taking game that deserves a spot on any game shelf. It's a surefire crowd-pleaser that will have you and your friends cawing with laughter (and strategizing your next move) for hours! P.S. Beware the Rook! ... show more

What are they whining about?
Flavor Name: standart Size: Standard - Pack of 1
This review I'm writing is for the version of Rook you see in the picture for this listing. I do not understand why people are complaining. You have to understand that just because an item has a review, doesn't mean the person put any real thought into it. They often don't tell you things specifically like if it was bought from one of the second-hand listings, for instance, which is why they might act like they're reviewing any ordinary store-bought product when they shouldn't be. Mine was the one pictured that was brand new from the retailer on Amazon, not second-hand. Also, the pictures are meaningless. One guy shows what are supposedly badly cut edges but mine was not like that. The material is no worse than what you get with other popular games like Uno or Phase 10, and is roughly the same size as those cards, therefore they are not 'too small'. They will obviously wear down over time like everything does, but I'm certain they'll always be cheap and easy to get, so you won't break the bank when time comes to replace them. I received 60 cards in my package, which means all 57 mentioned (14 for each of the 4 colors, and one Rook) plus three "Discard" cards. That is not a mistake but intentional. Nothing wrong with this set. Yes, manufacturer defects happen from time to time, but this is not what happened with the item I received and am happy with. Go ahead and order it from Amazon themselves. ... show more
