Out the "box" (ha), these are alarmingly thin, but once folded up, the edges where you tuck in the flaps flesh out a bit and it feels more appropriate for a shipping box. It will not fully close and secure on its own, not like you're sending this without tape so that's not a huge issue. Size is slightly off, mine measured about 7.3 x 5.3-ish, general area, although I imagine the post office isn't going to crucify you over fractions of inches. Absurdly light weight. I'm shipping a lot of stickers & an enamel pin, whole package rounded out to 3.4oz. I shall update once I get word on how it arrives to my customer, but first impressions are strong. UPDATE: My first batch of customers getting these boxes in the mail arrived pristine. They survived their travels w/ USPS, and I will be using these boxes in the future. These boxes are exactly what I needed! The size is perfect for small items like books, electronics accessories, or gifts, and they’re sturdy enough to handle shipping without getting crushed. I've been buying these boxes for the past 6 months, they work perfectly for textbooks! Since most textbooks are about 11x9x2, these boxes are just what I had been looking for. Books fit in nicely, bit of room on the sides and top to add some cushioning, not too much like some of the boxes other Amazon sellers use or the boxes they use at the Amazon warehouses and just make the books flop around and sometimes get damaged. If the book is a bit on the thicker size, they still fit here and you just need to add cushioning to the sides, as the book will already be tight on the top and bottom. The boxes are really easy to assemble and are secured really well once closed. Just add a bit of tape and they're ready to go. Also, you can get on the cheaper side of shipping, since these boxes are within the size limits of the shipping carriers. I use them the most with FedEx One Rate labels. If you want to use them for shirts or other flat items, I highly recommend them. I think they're also perfect for Valentine's Day gifts, birthdays, etc. ... show more
