Thicker than I expected. I think it will be plenty warm and cozy through the Fall and Winter months. It has a good weight to it. Added a few pillows and it was beautiful. Cons of it, the stitching is off in certain spots so the stuffing inside is uneven (if that makes sense). All in all, it's a beautiful comforter set. Not too thick and not too thin.

    • Pretty, but has some problems.
The good: the silver fabric is pretty, not too shiny with a nice textured-velvet look, and I like the decorative pillows. The not-so-good: The photos don't show the backing fabric, and I see why. It's thin cotton and the color is a dull warmish gray. The way the edges are sewn makes the edges tend to flip slightly upwards, showing the gray backing, so I have to arrange it just right. The pillows are unfortunately only velvet on the front, and this backing fabric is visible unless you arrange them with care. The stuffing/fill is a disappointment, there's not much of it and it's bunchy. Unlike the photo, there are no "tucks" or stitches to keep it in place. (It's possible the queen or king have them; I have the twin.) I haven't washed it yet, but I suspect the bunching will worsen. I'm thinking of opening one end to add more fill material to reduce the lumpiness, and I may have a seamstress add some strategic stitching. Lastly, the seller knowingly shipped a flawed item--there was a small tear/cut in the backing fabric down near the foot of the comforter. At least it was stitched up neatly and I doubt it will pull apart or anything. This doesn't matter much to me because it doesn't show, but still. 2.5 stars - I like it enough not to return it because the top fabric and pillows are pretty, and for the price I didn't expect lavish perfection, but I wish it didn't need "tweaking" and that the backing fabric was a better color. ... show more
