We have multiple ring outdoor cameras plus installed at our home. They function very well. Picture quality is great, day or night. The respond well to motions even at some distance. I was amazed that they pick up squirrels running from bush to bush in our yard. I have tried to find blind spots, but due to their wide angle lenses, these cameras pretty much catch everything. Combined with the instant message/video send to my phone I am very happy with this product. Like the option to either plug them in or charge them using (optional) solar panels. This allows installation in locations where you might not have electricity. The set up is straight forward. Installation can be done with basic tools.

Fantastic Ring Camera! Easy to set up and install. Works really well! You even get 30 days of free Ring program! I set it up over the porch and it not only can see the porch but the carport and part of the back yard as well! The video playback is great and motion detection doesnt even have any lag. I am happy that I finally have some security out there and because it feels so sturdy, I feel it will work well. The battery does take awhile to charge but its easy to put in and take out for charging so the design works really well. Excellent value for the cost!

I’ve owned many different security camera systems over the years, from wired 24/7 NVR setups to WiFi-based options like Blink that only record on motion (and often miss key moments). Every system I’ve tried has fallen short in some way compared to the Ring Outdoor Camera Plus. I subscribe to the Ring Protect plan for continuous 24/7 recording, and honestly, it’s worth every penny. The system integrates seamlessly with my Ring Doorbell and Ring Alarm System, creating a unified, reliable home security setup. The video quality is excellent for a 2K WiFi camera, and the app makes setup, use, and downloading clips incredibly easy. My neighbor pays an exorbitant amount for a Vivint system, and the picture quality is no better than Ring’s. I currently have 11 Ring Outdoor Camera Plus units and 8 indoor cameras, all running over WiFi, along with over 100 smart devices throughout my home, and I’ve never experienced lag or connection drops. My only wish is for the app to allow easier camera switching (for example, swiping between live views instead of backing out to select another camera). As someone who works in IT, I can confidently say Ring has built one of the most reliable and user-friendly systems available today. Highly recommend.

This camera is a fantastic bargain if you can get it on sale. I'm not sure I'd pay a hundred bucks for it but anything between 40-60 seems more than fair. This is compatible with the third party mounting solution I use for my other Outdoor Cam, aka the Stick Up Cam. What I haven't been able to do is find a solar panel that works with this camera. I understand ring sells them but I was "one and done" getting a compatible third party solar panel for my Stick Up Cam so I had kind of expected this to be just as easy. So far I've had no luck, which means I have to get the step ladder out every now and then to go pull the battery for charging. Luckily this takes the same batteries as the Stick Up Cam, so I don't have to go up on a ladder that often. Take out the old one, pop in a charged one, and off you go. Ring promotes this camera as having enhanced optical clarity or some sort of next-gen technology. I'm not convinced I see a dramatic difference. It's a good camera, and it covers a wide area but I'm still not totally sold on the idea that it's a significant step up from the stick up cam. I give it the benefit of the doubt, and for the minimal price difference when either of them is on sale, moving forward I'm probably just going to keep buying these rather than the older stick up cam unless there's a deep discount on that one. HERE'S THE REALLY IMPORTANT PART! Every Ring user is told they get up to 180 days of video storage. Well this is true, it's not the default setting. Out of the box they are only giving you 60 days. You need to log into your Ring account and manually adjust your video storage settings for each device. It's quick and easy to do but they don't really tell you about it. The information is easy enough to find but they don't make much of an effort to tell you. I didn't learn about it until I went actively looking for it. The only reason I went searching for this info and the appropriate corresponding settings is because I logged on intending to download some camera footage that I needed, and it was gone. Irreplaceable camera footage, gone forever. Technically it isn't really their fault but if I didn't go looking for this information or the settings who knows how long it might have been until I stumbled over it. The damage is done, videos that I needed are gone. Events that can never be recreated, captured once, erased forever. Don't make the same mistake I made. Log into your account and make sure you're getting your 180 days. And remember, it's a per device setting, you can adjust it for each of your cameras separately. Please go do that before you too lose important footage. As far as the camera itself, the app, the customer support, everything's good and I'm very happy I joined this product family rather than going with a competitor just to save a few bucks.

If your looking for a great security cameras I would highly recommend this unit. It is easy to install. Instructions are clear and understandable. It set up easily and it has great resolution. I use a rechargeable battery and they are super easy to change out. I am going to purchase additional cameras to cover my entire exterior!

These by far are the best cameras for the price. The quality of these is great and they hold up well. Also the application makes it super easy to use. The video quality is excellent and the wifi in these is pretty amazing. I have them all over the outer edge of my property and they work great.

This is a great camera with solar panel! Small and convenient for the space I needed it in. Easy to put in place. Great video color and able to put a motion zone that I needed to cover with it. It has been through rain, snow and wind and has always delivered great pictures and sound for me. This set I ordered with a battery since I had no wiring available and it works perfectly!
