We added two Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro units to our home in mid-November as our first outdoor security cameras, and after a few months of use they have performed very well. Video quality is impressive. The clarity both during the day and at night has been noticeably better than we expected from other outdoor camera systems we looked at. Motion detection alerts are helpful without feeling overly sensitive, and the ability to easily review recorded events gives peace of mind. Installation and setup were straightforward. The instructions were clear, and integrating the cameras into the Ring app was smooth. We now also have a few Ring-compatible smoke/CO detectors connected through the same app, and having everything in one place works well for our needs. App and features are strong. The Ring app is easy to navigate, the timelines are useful for catching events quickly, and the overall experience feels polished. Ring’s cloud storage and optional monitoring services provide flexibility depending on how much you want to use the system. Monitoring service is good. We chose Ring’s monitoring service and have been satisfied with the experience. I will avoid getting into specifics about our home or security routines here, but in general we feel comfortable with the notifications and support provided. Every home’s needs are different, but for anyone looking to step up to outdoor cameras with great video quality and a unified app experience, this has been a reliable choice for us. Highly recommended for first-time outdoor camera buyers and those upgrading from basic systems.

This Ring wired floodlight camera is awesome. It does exactly what I expected it to do, which is always good when buying any product. I do a lot of handyman and diy projects around the house and so I install, wire, remove, upgrade, etc all kinds of products from many different companies. By far, Ring products are the MOST user friendly tech products I’ve ever used. Functionality, viewing angle, night vision, motion sensor, and all other features are great. But to me, the installation process for a wired product couldn’t be any easier. One small feature that is incredibly useful is the little hook they have on the mounting plate so that you can hang the camera/light on the hook and then have both hands to connect the wiring. Simple genius. Highly recommend.

Snapshot does not work & I’ve done everything Ring Support suggested. I even deactivated as the ultimate suggestion & reinstall it. Support ask me to call them after the reinstall but I didn’t- it’s no use. I cannot ask for replacement because the unit is about 12-foot high. I don’t want to hire installer again! It’s very disappointing when buying an item paying the full price but not getting everything what you paid for. I subscribed to AI pro with not having full benefits. Update: 03/01/2026, I found how to access snapshots: toggle the Timeline feature by turning off & on at the Video Settings. I saw this in YouTube by a guy explaining it about years ago. But the feature is sporadic, sometimes I lost it & I have to toggle the Timeline again. I’m not sure if it’s the Floodlight Cam. This camera’s pictures most often are jerky & I always reboot it. But my Ring Battery Doorbell Pro has steady clean pictures. It even shows snapshots even if I turn the feature off at its settings to minimize battery usage but turned on at the Floodlights feature Settings. I’m still trying to experiment why. But again I’m not pleased with the Floodlight Cam’s performance. I keep rebooting it. RSSI at this writing is -54 & doorbell is -57. I have a dedicated WiFi for my ring system. ….Today, March 12, I installed Chime Pro to enhance coverage still it gave picture like below. Few times I got notifications & I pressed live but goi a message “still processing “ then the camera disconnected from my WiFi & disappeared. There is an article in the Web lately saying to the effect like Ring Floodlight Cam Pro could be a big disappointment in the year 2026 . I certainly hope not. At this time I feel like I got a lemon. If my problem is not typical I probably will ask for replacement. This this is not a simple purchase , it is for the security for my family.
