No one warned me that if I kicked with a lot of fervor, I was going to mess up my shins. The picture I'm uploading to this review is me with a messed-up right shin from one of my first Muay Thai classes on heavy bags at a gym. I knew about wraps, mitts, and bought a pair of 12 oz. boxing gloves (I'm small), but my legs? I didn't know. Also, starting class in late summer when it's hot here and wildfires are going, I wasn't thinking about wearing sweatpants to class. Anyway, to really get a good workout where you're punching and kicking at 90%+, you have to protect your skin. Since then I've learned to practice at 60-70%, but when I want to go 100%, I wear my shin guards! ... show more

So far they’ve worked out great! I bruise easily and had severe bruises from kicking a bag right before I got them and now because I’ve worn the guards, the bruises have healed. I am so pleased with the price as well. They are a little awkward to put on but not too bad, though they fit well (I’m a 5’6” FM and got the S/M). They look as pictured. I haven’t washed them yet so I don’t know how they hold up. I love the guards and am so grateful they were sold at such a low price. ... show more

Bought these for my daughters for their MMA class. The size xs fit my 5 foot daughter who weighs about 85 pounds perfect. The xs are too small for my younger daughter who is 4'10" and 95 pounds. I ordered a S/M for my 14 year old son and they fit true to size. Great fit, looks good as well. From what I have seen so far they also perform well. I have a younger son that is also in need of shin guards for karate lessons. I will be definitely buying a pair for him. Good value for the money.
