Been desperately trying to find a lip stain that doesn't bleed, isn't frosted or glittery, isn't too garish in color and is easy to use! I followed other reviewer's advice regarding putting it on at least a half hour after moisturizing, blotting it right away (unless I want a less-natural look, it tones it down), then waiting at least 5 minutes with my lips open to let it dry. At that point, it does feel like it might be making my lips dry, but then I apply the clear shine (or another color of gloss to create a custom color, or just my little cherry lip vaseline) and the whole thing stays on all day and looks great! Im approaching 60, and as you get older your lip lines start fading. I've tried all sorts of lip-liners, but NONE of them stay on, and I do not have the time to "prime" my lips then Line them with a liner, and then go back and outline that with a corrector pencil, then apply stain, re-line, apply setting spray, apply gloss, etc. This is just a one and done. I can put it on first thing in the morning and let it dry for 5 while I'm getting dressed, put the gloss on and I'm out the door. Don't even need to take it with me- it lasts ALL day. The colors were a bit concerning at first. I got Wish Upon a Berry for more of a neutral color/similar to my natural color, and I got Kiss Fatal, a deeper purplish-plum. My lips are naturally a medium plum shade, so both of these colors look nice, even with my pale white skin. I tried layering them- let the darker on dry then applied the lighter one, and it looks great! Great color choices and it goes on smoothly. Makes my lips look smoother and fuller. Lasts for hours, without color transfer, but my favorite thing about this product is how well it stays put, even on older lips. No feathering or bleeding!

I'm pleased with this lip stain. It's a little messy to put on at first, and I do recommend using lip liner even if that wears off. It helps give a clean edge for the stain. Once applied correctly: liner, then stain, wait 60 seconds with lips apart, then the glossy top coast--the color does stay for hours and hours. I get 8 hours of wear from mine even when that includes two meals. It doesn't smudge off on my coffee cup or water glass either. The gloss doesn't last too long, and doesn't endure meals, but the color stain really does stay. I tried one color and then soon after bought a second. I'm a fan! ... show more

I suck at makeup, period. I also have fairly small lips. They’re also uneven but I digress. This stuff looks great with or without lipliner and holds up extremely well. This picture is Wish Upon a Berry, 3.5 hours after I applied it. (I did use a simple drug store lipliner.) It was also applied over a Mederma cold sore patch cut in half to cover a cold sore. I applied 3 hours ago. Didn’t eat for about an hour but then I went to dinner and drank both wine and water out of a glass, finished a large bowl of soup, and ate an entree. Then I had water from a bottle in my car (not a straw) and brushed my teeth with an electric toothbrush. Oh and at some point I added a layer of random lip gloss because the cold sore has me dealing with dryness. Look again at the picture. That’s what’s left after all the above. The color is great and it stays put really well; however, I will have to toss this (non-returnable) because my lips have never felt so uncomfortably dry. I have worn this type of lip color for years, so it must be something to do with this formula.

Color: Heart Breaker Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I applied the product as directed by other reviews (there were no directions on packaging). Dry lips, apply and let dry 3 minutes, then apply the gloss. The lip color lasted 14 hours and through 3 meals. Even then it needed makeup remover to get it off. I did reapply gloss once and once reapplied a clear lip balm (not part of the product). Unfortunately, I bought a color that was way too dark for me (Heartbreaker—it’s a deep rust red). I’ll probably never use it but I think this is a great product for dancers, marching band members, stage performers, brides/bridesmaids, or anyone else in a situation where you won’t be able to reapply for a long time. ... show more
