I’m a 260lb tattooed 50yr old guy who needs exercise. Despite being off skates since adulthood, my girl took me to a roller rink and I decided this would be good for me. I’ve been using these Darts for about two weeks now, three days per week, and they’ve been a great purchase at their price point. The smallest sneaker I can wear is an 11. I wanted a good safe fit and ordered an 11 for these Riedells and they fit perfect. I read reviews about being narrow but I feel it fits like it should. I guess I don’t have wide feet but I definitely don’t have narrow feet. Anyway, I thought they fit true to size, for men. The weight doesn’t bother me and I’ve had NO ankle pain.. and I’m out of shape, so I should have. I kind of have feet problems and a lot of shoes are too uncomfortable for me but these skates did fine with stock insoles for the hour I spend on them at the rink. The wheels are great for beginners. They feel like they’re smooth and quick enough but, being as I was a big skateboarder for decades, I might try upgrading the wheels to a slightly harder one, maybe a 95a, with Swiss bearings. I THINK I want to go faster.. but the wheels and bearings that come on it are great quality and should make most people happy. I’m only going to change them to see what happens, not because I’m unhappy with their performance. So, if you’re looking for a good skate that’s is good at its price point, I think Riedell Darts work great. ... show more

I love these skates, they literally glide across the floor. I know why they are called jam skates. They are beautiful and have excellent padding. Completely comfortable right out of the box! I love them. I did buy black waxed skate laces because I think they hold the skate tighter and better. They seem extremely durable and aren’t really heavy either. They are just perfect. That’s my opinion anyway. I have to say i have several pairs of skates but these are my favorite. I love how easy they make it to perform a circle or just glide in general. You can do a lot on these skates plus the toe stops are the best! They actually are the perfect height so you can stop with ease and they just stop you. They don’t grab and not hold to where you would lose your balance. They actually make stopping probably the easiest of any skates I have ever had on. 5+ stars. Love these! ... show more

Excellent value for the money and for what you get. I got them setup and I stood up on the carpet with no problem, but then I moved over to the kitchen flooring and got about five feet and fell to the floor hard...lol Very fast if you ask me and pretty awesome! Sure, it's not genuine leather but for a hundred bucks what do you expect. I was anticipating a cheap low quality pair of skates but instead I received way more than what I expected. You can't do much about the boot but I replaced the toe stops with a pair of Gumball stops and I got rid of the shoe laces. The laces are not the right type and belong on a pair of hiking boots. I replaced them with a real cool looking pair of black and white "Derby Laces Style Wide 10mm Waxed Lace for Roller Skates", and the skates now look super cool, take a look for yourself. I don't know about the other guys with the bad reviews but I'm very happy with my pair of speed skates. I love the way they look. Again, you get what you pay for but in my opinion, with these you get much more. I highly recommend these skates for any beginner or somebody just getting back into skating again.     • Buy atleast one size up from your usual shoe size! The sizing chart is wildly inaccurate.

First off, these skates are great. There's nothing wrong with them in terms with how they skate, material etc. However....the sizing chart is extremely misleading and needs to be revised. I bought these in what appeared to be my size according to the chart and they felt small. The other reviews stated that these skates are rather narrow so I figured thats just how these skates fit. That is until my toes began to go numb and hurt after taking the skates off. I'm normally a size 11 or 12 in regular shoes and the chart states that size 11 on these skates equate to sizes 11.5-12. I ended up returning the 11s for a size 12 skate, which equates to a size 13 in normal shoes. So beware, if you're going to buy these, get atleast one size up!! The chart is misleading and could cause you a headache in returning and repurchasing these skates. ... show more

Super comfy and snug! I wear size 13 wide (EE) work boots and the size 12 skates feel about perfect. My feet are snug but not uncomfortable. I can relax to know my foot is solid in the skate. It feels like the wheels/trucks are in good places under my heel and ball of foot. Happy I bought size 12 instead of 13, I think. I’m re learning after not skating since about 12… 49 currently! I would definitely buy again. Sooo fun! ... show more

I was very happy with the product. I got exactly what was being advertised. They worked great the first night that I took them out for a test spin at my local roller rink. I ordered a size 11 because I have a wide foot even though a size 10 would fit better lengthwise. The skates are roomy in the foot and I can wiggle my toes. They are comfortable and I didn’t even have to add extra cushion support inside of it. The tongue is a little hard up against the front of your ankle but I think with time the tongue will soften up . These baby blue squads are the beezz kneezz! They’re comfortable. The quad plate is solid metal it’s not plastic. They might feel a little heavy but that’s normal! The color of the wheels match the color of the boot seamlessly! The ride is so smooth because the wheels are fresh and new. I do not recommend on hardwood floors. Very slippery!
