I am starting roller derby and bought these for my first pair very sturdy big change from my moxie rainbow riders the wheels that came with them more 93A, or at least that hardness specifically for indoors first day of practice, I was slipping and sliding because they were not gripping the shiny wooden basketball court when I was practicing with the team but the boot itself was pretty comfortable. I am a size 6 1/2 and I chose the number five for the shoe measurement and it was spot on. Had I gone a size smaller it would not have fit me comfortably and the description says category five fits a 6-7. They were not lying! If you want a wheel with more grip, definitely buy them separately don’t be discouraged by just the wheels overall, I’m satisfied so far! Good luck 😊 ... show more

I am sure there are far better skaters than me that enjoy a good hard plastic clacky wheel... The skates fit well, are smooth to ride... I just prefer a softer wheel I guess... I probably don't know what I am talking about.

I am 16 at the moment and I have been skating with inline skates, or rollerblades for about 4 years. To get started with skating quads I decided to get this pair because they looked decent were not super expensive and I just thought they would be a good pair to learn quad skating on. I got them and I know have about 10 hours of use on them and here is my experience so far. Out of the box the trucks are wayyyyy too tight. I would be surprised if someone could even move with how they are out of the box because I definitely couldn't and like I said I have 4 years of skating experience. But anyway after I loosened trucks I noticed the wheels wouldn't even spin on their own. This shows that out of the box wheels are far to tight (but bearings are in good shape and fine so not a huge issue , just annoying) Toe stop is out much farther than I would have liked and I did not adjust it until today so I guess I will see if the smaller stop feels better soon. Anyways this is the big issue for me and another skater I met that was using these for the first time. They destroy your ankle. I don't think myself to be a big complainer with this kind of thing honestly since I am used to ankle pressure from my inline skates but this is different. This digs into your ankle so much that after a good 5 hours session it peels the skin off. (even after spending 30 minutes initially trying to break them in at my house) My socks had a bloody spot on them from skating and this is definitely not good for a decent pair of skates. Sure you could say well expect to break it in and deal with it but I know other pairs around the 100-150$ range that do not do this and can tell you for sure its not normal. (keep in mind a random skater I met at a rink said the same exact thing when I asked them about it) anyways product is decent and other than the extreme comfortability issue you do get what you pay for in my opinion. (and to be clear I do not recommend this pair because of the comfortability issue but I understand why some people are buying this.) ... show more

Have only worn them a few times so far, but so far, so good. However, even though I downloaded the sizing guide and ordered accordingly, they fit tighter than expected, especially in the toe… Half sizes would be very useful. The chart showed that I needed between 8.5 and 9, so I ordered 9, but after getting them, I clearly needed a 9.5, and 10 would almost certainly have been too big. They aren’t uncomfortable (but close, in the toe especially), and since they are low-tops, I figure too tight is better than too loose… I’m hoping that they will “stretch” a little as they shape to my foot over time… I will try to update this concern after a few months of use. These are absolutely amazing for the price. The sizes do run a little small but if you compensate it’s great. I went ahead and changed wheels and bearings immediately. The factory equipment is really good for what you pay for. You do need to adjust the trucks and loosen the wheels even if you plan to skate out the box. Once you tweak it to your preference, these are really a good investment for any type of skater. I decided to go with this because the price was solid, it looks awesome and exactly as advertised, and I knew if I paid for a boot I liked I would be able to adjust the equipment and over all performance. ... show more

I usually wear a women's 8.5, I purchased the size 7 and they fit perfectly :) *Wheels did have to be adjusted like the previous reviews stated* Sooo worth the purchase !!
