I am not really comfortable wearing shorts, but I don't want to sweat (I mean "glow") all summer long, either. These capri jeans are a really good compromise. I can get a cool breeze on my legs without feeling uncomfortable or looking inappropriate. (art museums and the like don't mind jeans, but really frown on shorts. Go figure) These are a medium weight denim with a tiny bit of stretch. They are NOTHING like jeggings, which is just fine with me. Lee Riders also seem to be designed for women with a small waist and good sized hips, which describes me to a T. The dark denim is exactly as shown in the picture, and because it is not a stonewashed or bleached style, it is a little stiffer than those style, for at least the first couple of washes. These also wash and dry like a dream. I have been washing them in a load that only contains jeans, because I fear that some of the dark blue will come off on other clothes, and if it comes off on other jeans, well, no harm done. I was worried that the initial washing would cause the capris to shrink. There was no discernable shrinkage after washing and hanging the capris to dry (first washing) or when they took a ride in the dryer (everything after the first washing) Surprisingly, these capris don't seem to loosen up with wearing, unlike many other jeans. In other words, if they are too tight when you first put them on, it's not going to get better. Just exchange them and you'll be a lot happier. Hope this helps you decide whether or not to buy these capris.

Another great product from Riders By Lee Indigo! I have purchased many jeans from Riders by Lee and another pair of capris by Riders by Lee. These capris fit true to size. If you have ever purchased another Riders by Lee jean or capri, you will find the sizing is pretty consistent with very little variation. These capris are a medium blue rinse and are very soft and stretchy. The have subtle embroidery on the back pockets that is not overwhelming or distracting, just a nice touch. They also have 2 front pockets. The front pockets are not super deep so they can hold small, lightweight things, They are not as lightweight or as soft as the Heavenly Touch line by Riders by Lee but comparable in softness, but the fabric is a little heavier. They have a comfort fit waistband, where there is a full, flat very giving elastic sewn down into the waistband. This is not a bulky elastic, it is very subtle and not noticeable at all, just gives the waistband a high level of comfort. This would be great for you if you tend to gain and lose a few pounds periodically. This is not like an elastic waistband found only in the back like some jeans and capris have that make the waistband look bulky and like "mom" jeans, it appears just as a regular waistband. Only you know the secret of the softness and comfort on the inside! I am 5'8" and these capris come down a little longer in length the other capris I have. They are not pedal pusher length just below the knee. They fit fairly snug on the calf but not tight. If you have larger calves they have a fitted look in the legs. Nicely finished, no raveling or loose stitching anywhere and the front pockets don't gap.

I bought a couple pairs of these 2 years ago and have just loved them, but they are starting to wear out, so I went back to my order page so I could reorder the very same ones. They must have changed the fit of these, because the rise is much shorter than it used to be. I'm so disappointed; I really loved these capris. Very comfy.

Great fit; great price. Love the elasticity of the pants. I had been looking for regular jean capris (not skinny leg ones, not leggings, nor mid-rise waist) at a reasonable price (under $30). I settled on trying these although I didn't particularly like the cuff look. Was very happy to see that the cuff was not stitched down, whereby allowing me to roll down the cuff. Thanks Riders. You're still the jean to buy!
