My granddaughter keeps coming home from her mom's with head lice so sadly I battle them every month or two. I order these to be delivered to her mom's house to get things under control there - I order now and then for here but I've opted for a less harsh and more frequent approach here - there is a leave-on spray that I purchase here on Amazon that comes in either a 3 pack or single packs as an add-on. It is pesticide free and I simply spray her hair when she gets here and let it dry while she sleeps (per the directions and because she gets home right before bedtime with no time to do a 2 hour treatment with combout) and the next day she goes to school. If she has active lice she still needs the combout but I have not had active lice since I did one treatment with rid followed by once a week with the spray (and it smells like licorice). ... show more

figured out how lice was contacted? how could I have contacted lice when I only get out for Dr's. appts.? I will give you some thinking to do... shrubbery (hedges), tall grasses (ankle and above) deep, wild free birds, bird baths farm animals incl. wild animals and lovely home adopted pets...RID works.children are great carriers. We know this by children being sent home from schools with a note. so, if you cut grass and before you go spreading rumors, and or begin blaming where and from whom you may have contacted parasite...rethink of your last where abouts. We only used once and it was effective. the smell is a little bit strong so be careful of applying on hair, much better with someone can helped. It was easy actually to use and we only use the liquid like shampoo and its was really effective though. Much better leave it absorb in the hair and scalp and rinse well. The scent is strong and quite unpleasant, it drips and runs all over (none of these go well on a young kid. And in the end it didn't even work (still have live bugs after it sitting in hair for the recommended time) so......my recommendation for anyone needing this for at least the younger kids, go with Fairy Tales.....that brand works and doesn't traumatize young children! ... show more

Wish the spray bottle to clean mattresses and couches was bigger, I went through it with only one couch and one mattress. Shampoo was fine though, no irritation and didn’t have a bad smell. I didn’t feel like the comb out spray really did anything though, and ended up not using it after the first few comb throughs ... show more
