I got these in Med. I'm 5'5", 127lbs. My waist is 31", so they recommend XL, my hips are 37 so they say 3X, but I wouldn't want anything larger than a Med! I have no muffin-top whatsoever, so I'm not sure how they came up with their size chart. My legs are on the muscular side, so the Med. is a bit snug when pulling on, but they don't constrict while I'm wearing them at all. My biggest issue is length; they're about 5" too long, but the material is so versatile that I just bunch them up my legs and spread out the bunched parts evenly! I wouldn't say they have "butt-lift" either - I don't have much there to begin with, yet they really show every line & curve on and under your behind, so I wear them with a shirt just long enough to only show what I chose. Lastly, they aren't see through, but they aren't warm! They are far closer to tights or even pantyhose than leggings when it comes to warmth.

Full disclaimer, I own plenty of random brand leggings including everything from Target to LuLuLemon, but I have never purchased “Spanx” brand or any Spanx “dupes” so this is a completely honest and unbiased review! When I first opened the package I was shocked at how tiny the waistband and leggings looked in general and was immediately sad that I had maybe ordered the wrong size…but OMG these leggings fit and feel AMAZING!!! I am so incredibly happy with these leggings and will likely be ordering a second pair. They “tuck in” everything at the waist but are not too tight in the crotch or legs. They are VERY soft and comfortable. They have a matte finish which I love. Some could say they look like higher end athletic leggings, but honestly I think you could wear these in a variety of ways and look fantastic; it’s all about the styling and accessories! I will wear these with heels, sneakers, whatever- they look and make me feel incredible. In my perfect world, they would be maybe one or two inches shorter, but they are not too long by any means and hit right at my ankles (they do not bunch up at the ankles) I am 5’6” and 150lbs and ordered a size medium. If you are hesitant, please try these, you will be pleasantly surprised!!!

I saw a lot of people wearing leather leggings online and they looked awesome, and wanted to get some for myself as a reward for hitting a fitness goal. The first pair I ordered wound up feeling like snow pants. Too loose, too plastic-y, too stiff, hard to move in, and they made an AWFUL noise while walking. I immediately took them off and sent them back, and felt a little burned. But I kept seeing leather leggings online, so decided to try again, and picked these. And THIS is what I was looking for. First, they fit like leggings. Not only can you move in them, but you can exercise in them. Stretch, everything. They're super comfortable, flattering, and feel great. Second, NO NOISE. Just like regular leggings. I mean, if you deliberately rub your thighs together, you'd get the sound of fabric on fabric, but that's true for all pants. But when I walk normally, there's no sound at all. Like with normal pants or leggings that I wear. Third, they're not plastic-y feeling. They feel like fabric. I've had colored exercise leggings before that felt the same way. It feels... a little like when you have a printed T-shirt, and the printed part has a slight feel of the embedded paint. Except that it doesn't feel like it's about to flake off, like cheap printed T-shirts do. Of course, I just got these, and am wearing them for the first day, so we'll see how well the fabric and the seams hold up under regular wear and washing. If it doesn't, I'm sure I'll come back and update this review. Meanwhile, I have to say that these leggings are exactly what I was looking for, and I'm enjoying wearing them even just around the house, with an oversized sweater. I feel comfy AND fashionable. Perfect work-from-home combo!

Great looking leggings. I’m 5’11 and 140lbs. I wish the medium were a bit more loose for comfort, but the large was too big and not very tight/secure around the waist, they kept riding down for me just from walking over to a bigger mirror in another room and looking saggy. Going with the medium.
