  • Power wheels back to life
Got my power wheels up and running. Runs a long time. Kids love it.

  • 20Ah at 12.8V is 256Wh LFP battery at a reasonable price
I don’t have any Fisher Price ride in toys like the product page suggest as a drop in battery replacement, but I do have wireless cameras and lights. This battery makes a good upgrade for my wireless security camera running from solar power at a reasonable price point. I have one 2K wireless camera that is powered completely by solar panels and an 8Ah LFP battery. I am upgrading to a second camera and needed a larger battery to give enough battery storage capacity to last for multiple days when it’s not sunny and there’s clouds or rain. This battery is 3.9” thick which barely fits the standard 4” outdoor utility box. The 20Ah ratings is amazing for the size of the battery it’s bigger in dimensions than the battery it’s replacing, but not 2.5X as big, maybe 40% or so larger but has 2.5X the capacity. ... show more

  • Great replacement
This battery was an excellent replacement for my 12V power wheels battery that was at least 12 years old at this point. I put my adult body (somehow) into the powerwheels cart, and this battery could move me whereas the original battery would struggle quite a bit. I'm happy with the charge capacity of this new battery, the weight is amazing. It's actually light enough for the little kids to carry it without me worrying about them dropping it. The connector is also great - it was a perfect fit for both the car and the charger. Very happy with this order. I'm going LiFePO4 wherever possible from here on out! ... show more

  • This thing is a beast.
I do a lot of amateur radio and electronics experimentation. I am always looking for very durable and consistent batteries and a couple of years ago became a huge fan of the LiFePO4 architecture. It’s stronger, safer and more reliable. I also love how light they are. I don’t have a handy way at the moment to test capacity to see if it lives up the listing but if I don’t get the performance that I am expecting from a 20Ah battery, I will update my review. I don't have a lot to compare it to because almost all my LiFePO4s are 10Ah our less. This thing is awesome and really lasts for low power drain projects. I did top it off out of the package. Everything hooked up nicely and it took a charge without getting hot or having any other issues. ... show more

  • good power density battery
> SEFEPODER Replacement Battery Compatible with Fisher Price Power Wheels 12 Volt Battery,12V 20Ah Lifepo4 (~$60) The Good: + 256Wh in a relatively lightweight and compact package + Comes with powerwheel adapter plug The Bad: - low recommended charging rate of 0.1C. For LiFePO4 batts, this is usually around 0.3 to 1.0C (3x to 10x faster), but box says to charge it with very low current. Pretty good, decent power density battery. LiFePO4 batteries require a charger made for them, so don't use a lead-acid charger on them. This battery needs a slower charger made for a much smaller battery, too. ... show more

  • Nice battery!
First thing I noticed once I received this battery was how lightweight it was. I have a few 10Ah LiFePO4 batteries, but I don't know why I expected this to be heavier. Not that I'm complaining! The battery is a bit on the larger side, especially for tasks that I plan on using it for, but it is always good to have a little bit of wiggle room - especially if you are charging via solar. The battery came with screw terminals and an adapter for a toy car, if that what you are using it for. If not, the screw terminals are great for connecting wires with ring connectors. I always feel those perform better than spade terminals. The battery itself is well made and should function well long term. I have not yet been able to determine how long it will take to charge fully, but I will more than likely be using this on a solar setup with a charge controller. Overall, the battery is priced well and is a good value for the amount of power you will get. ... show more

  • A true 20 Ah battery.
Numbers are numbers, except when companies and sellers turn it into something more or less suggestive in their quest of one-upmanship. This is NOT the case here, however. Load tested at a constant current of 8 amps with a 11.2 volt cutoff (which equates to 5% capacity remaining), this did 19.3 amps, equating to 20.3 amps of total capacity. This is an excellent showing, especially in a day and age in which blatant exaggerations are commonplace. As for the battery technology itself, lithium iron phosphate is the newer alternative to heavier “old tech” sealed lead acid (SLA) or absorbed glass mat (AGM) – and for the most part, can be directly swapped with one another. Similar dimensions, similar voltage specs, lighter weight, longer life, and nowadays, minimal price difference. One application in which LiFePo4 is usually NOT a direct replacement are uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and other applications of high amperage draw. The reason is that lead acid batteries are able to sustain a much higher output than their battery rating (at the expense of run time) whereas LiFePO4 cannot. Per the image calling out the BMS, this one is not designed to sustain more than 20 amps of current draw – 20 amps at 12 volts is 240 watts. If the UPS is under 200 watts, this could pull it off, but unless it was designed for them, I wouldn’t count on LiFePO4 for UPS applications. Barring any reliability issues, 5 stars. ... show more
