My friend didn't seem to have any problem installing it into my car either. Bought this in the spring to make sure I had ac in the summer, and a few months of good ac and it is short cycling. We have replaced everything else and are down to this compressor failing. Sucks that it waited for summer!!!

I took on the challenge of swapping a broken AC compressor for my 2010 Honda Civic LX, and I was pleased to see that this replacement compressor was a perfect fit, and it's working perfectly, pumping cold air through my AC system and keeping my car nice and cool once again. It came preloaded with the proper amount of PAG oil, well sealed on arrival, and they supplied the proper o rings for the high and low pressure refrigerant lines. The only notable difference between this unit and the original OEM compressor from my car is the lack the little mounting/alignment tabs. This is not an essential component; they only make placing it into the chassis before bolting it in a little easier, but it was simple enough for this amateur home mechanic to manage it. ... show more

The listing and the box didn't clarify this, but the compressor did some with oil in it. Just to be safe I shot about an ounce of extra pag oil into it while recharging it. My 2005 CR-V held full vacuum overnight with this compressor in it, so no leaks. So far its been blowing nice and cold, and its quiet. No weird noises or anything from this compressor. Just based on the quiet operation and good vacuum, I think this compressor will last a long time. ... show more
