  • Very clear pic and remote access
Color: Black
Have purchased quite a few cameras from Reolink and the PoE series doesn’t disappoint. It provides a very clear picture in both day and night and offers 3 configurable quality modes (Fluent, Balanced and Clear) which allows a varying amount of bandwidth allowing one to access the camera over cellular networks which keeps your cost down. It’s very easy to install since there’s no need for both a power and Ethernet cable (requires PoE network switch). Pros - Easy to install using just an Ethernet cable (requires PoE network switch) - High quality picture/video both in day and night mode - Configurable quality modes of Fluent (lower quality, less bandwidth), Balanced (good quality, more bandwidth) and Clear (high quality, high bandwidth) - Can access directly via URL to display within 3rd party apps (i.e. MotionEye) Cons - Not really a con but it is PoE only and has no power cable like previous models Highly recommend it. ... show more

  • RLC-520A Good at price point. I use old iPad-4 as monitors.
Color: White
I have two Reolink RLC-822A cameras and I liked them well enough to step down to the 520A just for the person detection feature. All I needed was a camera that could differentiate between people, cars and any motion and send me alerts. But the 520A is a trivial step down from the 822A. The pictures it takes will only go as big as 2560*1920 whereas the 822A will go as large as 3840*2160. However, this is barely an issue. This picture size is noticeable when using the email or FTP feature. The quality of the images is still ok it's just the size. There isn't any pet detection either on the 520 but that is trivial to me too. I use old Wi-Fi iPads as monitors. I have two md510LL/a (iPad 4) that is placed on a tray table between the Television and where I am sitting. Of course, I can move them anywhere in an instant. I see when anyone comes in the driveway or walks in front of my house while I am watching TV. I've tried everything as a monitor. My TV, my PCs third monitor feature, a dedicated PC, Amazon Firestick, Roku, VLC using RTSP, and I always come back to the iPads. I also have an iPad mini in the kitchen. So, If I am cooking, I can watch the driveway when I am expecting a delivery. I got the iPads from eBay. What is really good about the iPad is that Reolink continues to update the app as of May 13, 2023, where most if not every other app will not have an app to keep updated. Even the IOS won't update. These iPads only have one purpose, they are Wi-Fi Reolink monitors. ... show more

  • Very Capable Camera
Color: White
I was a bit hesitant about purchasing a new camera at first, but I quickly moved past that once getting this thing all set up. First, set up was very easy. I am not using PoE (yet), but I have plenty of 12v power supplies laying around. Make sure you get one that can provide plenty of current (I can't say a minimum as the one I'm using can provide 30A max, so...). Getting a RTSP stream was easy once I figured out how I'm supposed to do it. Make sure you download the REOLink client app if you're interested in streaming. The mobile app is good for most users, I would think, but my plan involves OBS and FTP. Very clear picture quality, but that will also depend on your home network. I plan on moving away from the app and setting up a closed circuit system, with the only outside access to the video feed being the software that's getting video from the camera. Currently, using OBS for any streaming, and TrueNAS for FTP. Need to mess with detection settings and all that, but I think it's a very capable camera for a very affordable price. Planning on purchasing a few more to complete a good home surveillance setup. ... show more

  • I'll be sticking with the solar powered wifi cameras in the future, not POE.
Color: Black
I've always liked the REOlink wifi cameras, usually set them up with the little solar panel to power them. For this site, I decided since I had power and hardwire internet there, to try a POE one. Did not realize that it did not come with a POE power supply, so I got it mostly set up and found out I had to buy a POE power supply. But then even though it was the correct 802.3af injector, it still did not work... because it turns out it was a passive injector instead of an active one. Most small POE injectors for one camera don't even seem to specify if they are active or passive, even the ones branded by Reolink that say "works with most cameras". Would be helpful if the description included a link to the correct power supply to operate this. Anyway, I'm done wasting time with this, just bought the normal solar powered wifi Reolink camera instead and it works fine. I'm sure it's a fine camera if you had a big setup with the proper big POE router to control all the cameras so I gave it three stars instead of one, but for a single camera setup, not worth the hassle of going POE. ... show more

  • Plug and Play. Great mid level POE camera for the Catio.
Color: White
I have 10 Reolink cameras and 2 Reolink doorbells. I owned Ring, Swann, Nite owl and back in the day x10. These by far are the most clear, reliable, versatile and easy to install/use cameras especially with the nvr and phone app. Lots of features, cams know a vehicle from a person and even a pet play back is simple and kept on a timeline. Crystal clear, add the SD card for local recording within the camera and redundant to the NVR. I recommend. ... show more
