  • Great product for price, but setup and PTZ could be improved.
Color: Black
This camera does work well and integrates very nicely with the ReoLink app to allow viewing seamlessly with other NVRs and cameras. Once setup, the picture is clear and there are some great capabilities built in to allow things like motion detection/alarming that can differentiate between pets and people and excellent visibility when the room is completely dark. It also allows the administrator to configure if night vision(infrared) will be used and what darkness level will trigger it. We found that the camera can still see impressively well in almost any amount of light. My complaints are as follows: 1) when you first power up the camera, it begins talking VERY LOUDLY, instructing you (in 8 different languages) to setup the app on your phone and show the camera the QR code from the app. This repeats over and over until you do so…did I mention that it’s at full volume and very loud!. It took longer than it should have to get the camera to read our QR code from our phone allowing the camera to access our wifi connection. Then it finally shuts up. 2) The PTZ feature that allows the administrator to move the camera in any direction is a bit difficult to use. I’m not sure why the administrator is the only user allowed to use this feature either. It would seem logical to only have one user with admin rights and any other users would not have admin, but why wouldn’t we want non admin users to be able to move the camera? Regardless, when I pan left (for example), it takes 1-2 seconds from when I press left before the camera reacts, and also 1-2 seconds to stop moving left once I release the left button. This lag can make it difficult to get the camera pointing where I want it to point. This could be resolved to some degree by making the camera pan speed slower, which is not configurable that I could see. In summary, this unit seems to be very good for the price and I would recommend it, just understand the above areas that could be improved. ... show more

  • Great cameras
Color: Black
We purchased this camera to watch our young pets when we are not home. We like to check in on them, as well as check in if we have someone taking care of them when we are away. We have several cameras in our house, all Reolink. The indoor and outdoor cameras have always stayed online, have a great picture quality day and night, and decent sound. When talking through the camera, the voice can be a bit distorted, but it works enough to talk to someone while you are out. The app is easy to install and cameras are easy to add to the app. The optional memory card slot allows you to store more saved clips so you can refer to them later. The alerts are decently accurate. You can set up alerts for motion, pet, person, etc. There are also optional zones to only detect motion in certain areas. Additionally, you can set a "location" for the camera to return to after motion ceases. We have been decently happy with Reolink cameras. Enough so that we keep going back to them when we have a new reason to get another one. ... show more

  • Good camera, but the setup process is infuriating.
Color: Black
I've purchased two of these cameras, because they are a good bang for the buck. However, the setup process is absolutely infuriating. Out of the box, the camera starts barking at you to scan the QR code at a ridiculously obnoxious volume level. Loud enough that it would wake someone up at the other end of the house. It continues to cycle through this announcement in various languages at volume 11 until you complete the setup process. Make sure you perform the setup process in a well lit room or the camera will not be able to scan the QR code on your phone and you'll be hearing this message for all eternity. However, once you complete the setup process, the camera is pretty great. The video quality is good, pan/tilt works well, and it is reliable on the Wi-Fi. ... show more

  • Integrates Into Third-party Security Systems
Color: Black
The day and night picture quality is good for this price point. I could afford to buy 2, so the viewing areas will overlap. Setup: Using the phone app is not all that helpful. The LOUD, annoying voice announcement from the camera is obnoxious. Since I will be using this with a local surveillance recording system versus the phone app, setting up via the phone was a waste of time. I tried this only after failing to get the wireless to connect; let me explain. Reolink has a nice setup and control application that runs on a Windows PC. The E1 Pro has a physical Ethernet port that allows easy, wired network connection. I recommend using your smartphone to read the UID code off of the nearly microscopic QR code on the bottom of the camera. Type this into the UID space on the desktop app. Select "add camera", make sure UID is highlighted and type the code in. You can select Wifi setup and enter the WPA code. This seamed so simple, but I fought the Failed Connection issue for an hour. I tried the phone setup app, but no joy! I had been sure to add the camera MAC to my Wifi MAC filter table. Then DUMMY! The Wifi MAC is different than the Ethernet MAC. I had to temporarily disable MAC filtering, record the Wifi MAC, and add that to my filter table. Camera works great. I love that it supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz wifi. If using third party systems, be sure to enable all the network services when setting up the camera via the desktop app. Select the camera, select Setup (the gear), go the Network > Advanced. Using: I will use the cameras during an upcoming trip. I appreciate that my surveillance system quickly easily found the E1 Pro and supports the Pan and Tilt feature. I will report on the results later. ... show more

  • excellent camera for my situation
Color: Black
This camera is so easy to set up, no subscription is required. I am using a 256BB micro SDXC card for stowage. I have been using the same card for 5 days now w/o changing the card. The picture quality is great. they say don't use it pointing at a window but if you turn off the infrared you get a wonderful color picture during the day and a wonderful B/W picture at night using the porch light. I would (and will) buy this product again and have recommended to my family/friends ... show more
