Recently ordered 2 of the Reolink Duo 2 Solar WiFi cameras and these are my first impressions after having installed them. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of these units and the solar charging option. It provides a very compact, integrated solution for remote video monitoring and the solar cell integration/connection is VERY nice, while keeping the battery fully charged as required. I am using these for a nature related monitoring program and am pleasantly surprised of the very wide (appr. 180 degrees) field of view. Even though there is a LOT of information presented on the video, it is easy to zoom in and check the details of the information that is recorded. Since I am using these at a very remote location, I have all sensitivity maxed out for maximum logging of any movements. There are some issues with sensitivity in extremeties, but since these are triggered by the passive infrared "PIR" it is understandable. Advantage of the PIR is that at night time, a lot of flying bugs don't trigger the camera recordings, unless you use enable the night time LED light option. BTW, the units correctly identify car, person and "pet/animal" movement, hich is nice when you get messages on your cell, stating what type of object it identified in the area of interest. I have the 256Gb memory chip installed and even though you can download upon demand any recordings, I set the cameras up so that any detected movement automatically are being sent with video attached to an email account for safekeeping, in case the remote wifi's are pilfered. SHORTCOMING: 1 large shortcoming of these units is that there is only 1 (admin) login account for these cameras. So in case you need to share the information of the cameras, you end up giving complete access to the users you share the cam with. NOT NICE. Hope Reolink fixes this REAL QUICK in upcoming firmware release. Any additional user can change any setting on the cameras and actually disable the camera if they don't know the ins & outs of what they are doing. Additional users should be only allowed as "observers" Happily impressed with these units and looking forward to the future firmware upgrades, for additional features. ... show more

video is clear, day or night, i do also use another sensor light behind the camera off to the side. , and a street light about 15 ft in front of the duo 2 . the duo 2 has very bright lights ,wide lens, its setup on my i pad. and works great using micro sd use the u3 as suggested. i use the pri for people only can set for cars,pets it has a pre siren dull noise like your phone when receiving messages, if you choose instead of the siren easy to operate. the other lights dont interfer with the duo2 secuity camera. this person caught dumping his trash reaching over my fence ... show more

Easy to program to phone and computer, and mess with certain settings. Great camera quality camera, and field of view is amazing, But I have to say they cheaped out on the bracket for the camera. plastic? come on. Also they should have given you something to cover the cable with when running it against a wall. Not sure yet about the Solar panel, I will update my review later on in a month or so because I plan on trying this out and seeing if i'm going to purchase another one. You guys made an amazing camera. But cheaped out on the mounting brackets 4/5 so far. UPDATE SOON! I'm also going to look into turning this into a hardwired camera if I can. ... show more

Very expensive camera with terrible 15fps capture. Totally useless. None of these camera mfgs list the fps in the specs. When it comes down to providing footage to the police these cameras are garbage. A car drives by at 20mph and it can't even capture a clear enough video to capture the plate or even car make/model. Just like the car in the pic, no idea what it is, just guesses. And without accurate info the police can't do anything. This camera is no better than buying a couple super cheap cameras to capture 180° view. ... show more

I bought 2 of these cameras and am somewhat disappointed with both.The light that is built into the camera causes a white distortion in the picture when it is cut on during live viewing . The intelligent detection from my perspective doesn't work that well as I have one of these pointed towards my front yard which faces a street and even with the street blocked out I still get quite a few false alarms from activity from cars going up and down the street.The camera facing the backyard refuses to connect to my phone even though it's installed on my Reolink app . I have 2 Reolink Argus Pros that are some of the best cameras I have ever seen but these are a big disappointment. If I had it to do over again I would buy a different brand.The only positive thing I can say about these cameras is that they're super easy to mount. ... show more

I had contacted REOLINK support as the unit's battery was discharging rapidly. The problem was solved by adjust the sensitivity on the camera to prevent too many motion detections. The support was timely, responsive and knowledgeable. I am a happy camper.

The clarity on this camera is astounding with brilliant colors. The stitching between the 2 lenses is flawless on its original setting, but it can be adjusted. The camera can be set with 3 integrals of extended seconds (8, 15, 30) per motion activation. Motion activation parameters are adjustable, and this camera is sensitive to minor changes which can cause few recordings to many recordings. I chose not to specify sizes for objects, which could also affect the number of recordings. The display glues the 2 camera lenses together which does reduce the display size, but you can zoom in. I would think you could split it to view one or the other camera but I have not found a way to do that. I highly recommend this camera. ... show more
