  • Bright!
Pros: Convenient, extremely bright light Cons: Tight fit of connectors means normal-sized USB-C cable won't fit. OK if you use the USB-C cable that came with it, though. Would recommend they move the USB-C connector to one of the endcaps since it's only used for charging.

  • Great product
This is a second one I ordered, it has an amazing bright light backed by a huge battery which worked great for over a year. The reason for giving four stars is the switch, partially damaged now. It got buried in the casing, have to push deeper and sideways to activate it. I fully recommend this, just be gentle when turning it on and off. ... show more

  • Great product fills a niche, but couple issues
Using this extender for couple months now. Its an excellent application, allowing to displace smartphone and bike computer away from primary handlebars where space is limited on road bikes. The LED headlights are focused to about 30 degrees and quite bright. has intermittent mode for daytime safety, this is how i use it. I didn't see this mentioned elsewhere but unit has two large lithium ion batteries within. Holds charge for tens of hours of use, even with headlight intermittent on mode, and running my edge520 with backlight on at 100%. The mounts are very sturdy. My one complaint is of the USB connectors. They are of low quality and weaken easily. That is to say if you do not treat these delicately when inserting, and making sure not to apply too much lateral force on the connector when plugged in, they will eventually give intermittent connection performance. Just be careful with the plugs. The unit has so much value otherwise, I can live with this shortcoming. Other thing, the width of the phone mount could be another 7mm wider to accommodate large format phones with case. You can fix this by adding an M4 x 10-20mm standoff to the phone mount screw assembly though. Finally, the charge remaining indicator lights are dim and cannot be seen in daylight. Not a big deal since the unit never runs out of charge. Can't comment on recharge cycle capacity of the batteries yet as i haven't owned the unit long enough, but the batteries can eventually be replaced with NECs or Panasonics. Hope this helps. I don't write many reviews but felt this one worth it. 8/30 update: the remaining charge leds blue-green-yellow-red dont reflect the true remaining charge. I decided to run a test by fully charging the unit and leaving the high intensity setting on the headlamps. They draw 2200ma (measured). Based on run time of 2.75 hours at this setting,, I calculate total battery capacity at 6000mA-hr, not the 10000mA-hr as stated. I have ordered these https://www.amazon.com/Rechargeable-Lithium-ion-Batteries-Electronic-flashlights/dp/B0BC1LNPRC/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1M1CF2JO8RIOV&keywords=26650%2Bbattery&qid=1661874660&sprefix=26650%2Bbattery%2Caps%2C135&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExN0xPQUQ5U1M5RjVaJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTU2NDIzTDVXSlFJTTFaOU01JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA4MzU5OTQxOUI3NUg5VkRUQkIyJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1 rated at 6800mA-hr for $22 a pair, each or total of 13600mA-hr. We'll see how these do. ... show more

  • Extremely well constructed
A bit pricey but impressive build quality and feature packed. The real estate on my E-bike handlebar was almost gone and I needed to mount a rear view camera and a cellphone holder in order to take advantage of the Cannondale app. This extender was wide enough to accommodate both. The unit came nicely boxed with all installation accessories organized. The extension tube itself has some real heft to it; machined aluminum with a quality USB port seal. My E-bike already has a headlight, but I intend to use the extender's light in strobe mode when street riding. The USB A output is a nice feature to have in an emergency... cell phone or air pump charging. Installation was easy with decent instructions that included graphics. I did have to resort to YouTube for the cellphone holder mounting. PROS: ☆Build quality ☆Feature-packed ☆Backup USB CONS: ☆A bit pricey ☆Instructions need some tweaking ... show more

  • Good customer service
Very nice all aluminum unit with many mounting options. It even had the proper mounting point for my built in computer for my e-bike. The unit is relatively heavy which is no surprise since it’s got quite a large battery. Mine came with a loose usb a socket and I thought a malfunction of the usb c socket since it can be charged thru it but won’t power a device thru it. It wasn’t a malfunction. They where very quick sending a unit without a loose socket and with complete instructions. Ends up that usb c is only for charging the battery. Usb a is for charging devices from it. No big issue with that except I would suggest getting a cord for your device with a right angle to make plugging in easier. I’d also look for something short say 6” to a foot. Things are a bit tight so wrapping a long cord out of the way will be a pita. It comes with a short usb a to usb c cord so if you Android your probably already covered. As you can see, the built in light is very bright, even brighter than the $250 Supernova light on the bike. Definitely a good backup. I set mine up as a high beam because why not. I take issue with calling it waterproof though. It probably is when it’s just being used as a light but you need to pop a cover off the ports to charge a device with it. Waters going to get in if that’s the case. To be fair, I don’t think anything plugged in is really waterproof. I’ve always been in the habit of using a clear shower cap to cover things up there in the rain. It would work on this too. You can get a phone as large as and iPhone 12/13 Pro Max up there if you use a thin case. Anything smaller you’ll be able to use any case you want. ... show more
