  • About as real as you can get and still be nerf…
Color: Red
The media could not be loaded. My son, 11 years old, loved nerf type guns and he has not stopped playing with this since I put it together. And this is a kid who usually lives on his tablet or occulus. We have both been very impressed with this toy. It did require some minimal adult assembly and then going over the usage instructions with my son, but he already knew how it basically functioned based on his rudimentary knowledge of firearms (via YouTube as he’s not ever touched a real one in real life). But, I can only assume based on the knowledge that he already had that it is very similar to a real sniper rifle. The bullets are much smaller than a traditional nerf bullet (see included picture), and they must first be individually placed into the shells then loaded into a magazine which is then attached to the gun. The gun once fired will then spit out the empty shell when the next bullet is loaded into the chamber. (It does make for a little bit bigger if a mess to clean up but it was totally worth it as far as my son was concerned). The silencer is just for appearances (not much to silence on a nerf gun), and the scope does not have a cross hairs printed on it, but it does site in and out when you turn the dial. All in all we would highly recommend this for any young gun or nerf enthusiast. ... show more

  • Pretty legit, but smaller than expected and prone to jams
Color: Green
I really like the design of this blaster - the magazine and cartridge casings are fun to reload and eject like a real bolt action rifle. I will say that the build quality could be better; not all the functions operate smoothly. Occasionally I'd get a failure to eject or failure to feed. The FTEs are a bit tough to clear. Further, sometimes the darts themselves would get stuck in the barrel, which will probably require adult intervention to clear depending on how old the operator is. All said and done, it does have decent range and packs a little bit of a punch. I will say, I was surprised by how small it was. Definitely not easy to shoulder and shoot for an adult, but should work just fine for smaller folks. ... show more

  • This thing is TINY...
Color: Green
I think I need to point out the elephant in the room, as it were, for this toy gun/blaster. And that is that this thing is TINY. It's a toy for ANTS, or, in this case, for smaller children. Which is ironic, because I don't think I'd let a child younger than 10 play with this, and I'll explain why. First, it's fun. You load the foam into the cartridges, load the rounds into the magazine, load the magazine into the blaster, pull the bolt, and fire. That entire process is great, and a really fun way to teach young folks firearm fundamentals. But the problem is the SIZE of the gun! It looks like, from the size alone, this was intended for much younger children. And I would not give kids that age this toy. Between the small choking hazards and the propensity for kids that age not to follow instructions... I can totally see a small child firing into the face of another, even if accidentally. Essentially, it's not safe. For adults, this makes a cute, silly little office toy, or even a "fidget" toy. It's great to mess with, pull the bolt, and dry fire--all that. But ultimately, I don't think this toy is worth the money. I think you'd be better off buying one that's full-sized. ... show more

  • Awesome gun that shoots straight
Color: Red
The media could not be loaded. This gun is quite cool and goes a step further than what you may be used to with foam dart guns. First off, it does require some assembly, but this can be easily figured out. Second, loading the foam darts into the cartridges and then loading the cartridges in to the magazine can feel a bit tedious, but it has a very cool end result. This gun works similar to a bolt action, in which you would cock the bolt to fire. Once you pull the trigger, it fires the foam dart. The cool parts is that once you pull the bolt out again, it discards the used cartridge from the side. The overall quality seems to be above average and I feel that even with kids using it, it should hold up well. The color scheme is pleasing as well. I am also impressed by how straight and "Dialed in" the foam darts fire from this gun. Cocking the gun may prove to be a bit difficult for smaller children, but I think most children around 10yo could handle it. The scope on top does work, although don't look for ways to adjust it. ... show more

  • All-in-all, not worth the money
Color: Green
It came packaged in a corrogated box. The receiver/stock assembly were wrapped in bubble wrap, there were 6 plastic bags with ammunition components, the rest of the parts were loose in the box. The instructions include a lot of pictures - actual pictures, not drawings. Assembly is very easy and straightforward, took maybe 3 minutes. Neither the silencer or bipod are needed for operation, both will slide on/off as desired. The 32X adjustable magnifier (scope) is not 32X magnification, I didn't notice any magnification. The only adjustment for the scope is forward/backward on the rail on top of the receiver. There is a ring at the rear of the scope that will spin, it doesn't do anything else. The plastic tipped bullets came in resealable bags, the suction cup tipped bullets and the bullet cases did not. Included were 20 each of the cases, plastic tip and suction cup tip bullets. Assembling the rounds is easy, simply slide a bullet into a case. The drawback is that the rounds have to be reassembled after shooting. It took longer to assemble 20 rounds than it did to assemble the rifle. Younger kids may find this boring. I had quite a few rounds not feed from the magazine, had to reach in with a finger and move the round, then release the bolt again. There were some cases that did not extract properly, had to pull them out by hand. Some of the suction cup bullets stuck in the barrel, had to shoot a second round to knock the first one out the end of the barrel. Hitting what you're aiming at is a matter of luck, not skill, which disappointed the users. This is a toy for smaller kids. The buttstock is only 2 3/4" tall, buttstock to trigger ~7", bipod is ~6" tall. It's built with light-weight plastic and won't stand up to rough handling. The rifle looks good just sitting there, but is disappointing to actually use. All-in-all, not worth the money. ... show more
