I purchased the E.l.f dual end complexion brush at the same time, as I prefer lower coverage application. The bristles on this RT brush are very soft and not densely packed on the outer edges, but gets more dense in the inner circle. This allows my foundation to glide very easily in big strokes, followed by tapping away any streaks. The e.l.f brush is much softer, fluffier, and more rounded. It is actually too soft and unstable for my foundation. The RT brush is the perfect mix of soft/fluffy and dense and gives me the most flawless and easy blend of all my brushes. Majority of my brushes are Real Techniques. I only own maybe a handful of other brands because I know I am getting a soft, reliable and we'll made brush. A great brush doesn't have to be expensive and RT keeps it's real with their prices! Buy from these women! This company knows what they are doing for you. Also the sponges are perfect. It is much smaller than I thought it would be. It doesn't work any better than the brushes I bought in a set for 10 bucks. I did not feel it was worth the price or that is was a good value.

I keep using it for gel-typed serum application which is doing great! I feel so comfortable when applying the serum on my face. It’s kind of enjoyed!! I also tried it to apply liquid and powder foundations. It does a great job too. Highly recommend it.

    • I wanted to not like it but I love it
I usually buy ultra premium brushes and tools- but decided to give this a chance and shocked how well it works. I use it as a second brush once I have applied foundation. This has super soft bristles that have a gradation in length so offer a chiseled feel. This is a must purchase!

I had seen this brush used and recommended in so many Youtube videos that I just had to try it. Hands down this is the best brush ever for applying foundation. I use my fingers to dot foundation on my face and then gently brush it in with a swirling motion. the bristles are so soft and the shape of this brush is perfect for getting good even coverage all over my face. I’ve owned this brush for about 5 months now. Initially, I loved it, but soon I started to notice the occasional shedding of brush hairs. I was hoping it was a fluke, but no - it has continued and worsened. For the price and size of this brush, and with many good reviews, I expected better quality.
