I purchased one spool initially for shark fishing. I chose the 80# Braid and was a bit skeptical at first because it wasn't the typical line I'd been using. I can say now that after a couple seasons that this line has held up and exceeded my expectations. I've taken my reels down to South Carolina fishing for sharks and redfish and it worked amazing. 6' sharks (the largest I caught)....no problem! The line lays on nicely on my reels, casts very well and I can spool up multiple reels due to the large spool sizes Reaction Tackle sells. I chose the lime green and there has been no fading. UPDATE: The day the below review (which originally had 2 stars) went live, Reaction Tackle sent me a mssg, to which I responded, and the very next day refunded me for the 15# line that I had bought. Wow!! (And, today I loaded up the 25# version of this line that I had purchased and I think it's gonna do the trick...and if it does, I'll give this a full 5 stars because I love everything else about this line - especially now the stunningly good customer service.) ====== Summary (for the 15# line): Color is terrific for murky waters like ponds and lakes!! Easy to see against that. And it casts like a dream - freely, far, and true. However...I'm admittedly no fishing expert, but I've never had line break like this. I bought this to replace the awful, twisty mono that came on my new reel, and was delighted with how it handled versus that swirly junk, but I don't think this 15# line is good for much. First caught a feisty, fighting 4+ pound catfish but line snapped once I finally got him near the dock. Re-rigged, recast and caught a ~1# bass and yet again the line broke. TL;DR: After decades of always borrowing brother's and uncles' rigs, finally purchased my own during a recent vaca on the lovely SC coast. Learned quickly that the cheap nylon junk that came pre-loaded was too frustrating to manage. So when I got home, I did a bunch of research and decided braid was the way to go. On Amazon, found this as a top seller. Figured I'd never need more than 15# for the random, casual fishing I would do, so ordered this. (Unfortunately I also ordered an extra, larger reel of it bc I was concerned I wouldnt have enough when I got this first smallest reel and saw how slender it was, so now I'm stuck with that bc it is just outside the return window.) Didn't have opportunity to use it until this past weekend, when I was enthralled with how much nicer it was to cast, and how responsive it was. You truly can feel every little nibble. But then I caught a fish...a very feisty, fat, fighting fish. I fought with it for a good 3 or 4 minutes but finally got it near the dock where we could see it was a sizable catfish, around 4 or 5 pounds. My companion reached for the line, and it snapped, just a few inches from the fish. Ok. So I cut off a couple feet of the line, and started over with fresh rigging. Within minutes, had another fish that I pulled in. When it got close enough to the dock, we could see it was a smallish bass, maybe 1# if that. Tried to pull it up and again the line snapped in two. So I don't know what this 15# line could possibly be good for. Minnows? ... show more

This is some basic but great quality line at a very affordable price. Are there other better, smoother casting braided lines? Absolutely! But for the price and just your average person who wants to go wet a line whenever they get the chance this line is durable and gets the job done! Love being able to buy larger spools to be able to re-spool multiple reels. Definitely will buy again! ... show more

I’ve been using Reaction tackle fishing Line for a while now and I have to say, it’s the best thing since sliced bread. I mean, who needs bread when you have Fishing Line? It’s strong, it’s durable, and with multiple colors and options to choose from it’s the perfect accessory for any fishing trip. I’ve even started using it to tie my shoes in the morning. I mean, why not? It’s so versatile! I’ve caught everything from Flathead Catfish to a pair of old boots with this line, and it’s never let me down. I was looking for a good mono at a good price and this is what I found. It spooled up nicely with very little twisting. It casts well with no wind knotting. This appears very abrasion resistant. I would definitely recommend this for the price.

I’ve never used braid until this year. Always been a mono guy. I’ve also always used spinning reels my whole life. But I bought a boat and I’ve gotten more into saltwater fishing and started using baitcasters as my main set ups. The picture is my bass rod and reel. Since 30lb braid is about the same diameter of 12lb mono I went with that. I really like the moss green as it disappears into the water in the lakes and ponds I usually fish. I’ve had several snags and a few bad casts due to learning the ins and outs of using a baitcaster and this braid has held up great. I can easily yank my bait back in after snagging an underwater tree limb or above water tree branch😂. I mainly use lures from 1/4oz to 3/4oz and I’ve had no problem launching them further than I’ve been able to throw using my spinning reels. I’ve had maybe some very slight discoloration in the green right at the lure end of my line but I fish several days a week for a few hours at a time so I’m very satisfied with this product. And you can’t beat the price either. I have 50lb test on a few of my salt water reels in the deep blue color and it’s held up excellent as well. This is my go to braid going forward. ... show more
