This was my first actual skateboard and I would recommend it for beginners. You will have to put in some elbow grease in loosening the trucks and wheels as when I first got it, I could barely turn the board and when I would push, the wheels would IMMEDIATELY stop rolling. Seems decently sturdy for a budget board. Had to loosen the nuts to allow the wheels to spin freely. Took off two stars because I received a 7.5 inch board, not 8 like the product listing specifies. Not worth the hassle of returning for the price I paid.

Before this one, I owned a landyachtz dinghy. I wanted to get a skateboard in addition to my cruiser since I wanted to learn some tricks, but didn’t wanna shell out a lot of money. I got this in a deal for $18 and oh boy! It’s a great board overall, and for this price it’s a killer. I would say it’s not very stable if you ride it on streets, and the wheels are not the best quality but if you want to get an affordable skateboard for learning tricks or as a first board, this is definitely one of the best. ... show more

Solid board. Deck is done nicely. You may want to consider switching out the bearings, as the wheels don’t spin as smoothly as some may want. With this being said, if this is a board for a beginner it will do nicely.

This is a "you get what you pay for" kind of board. I bought it for my 6yo to start learning some basics. He's a tall 6yo and it's a good size for him. I was disappointed to see that the bearings were complete garbage. The wheels were practically stationary - even after loosening the axle nut and oiling the bearings. Initially I thought that might not be so bad for a beginner, but you can't teach someone to ride on something that can hardly move. I had to switch out the bearings asap. Other than that, it's a perfectly good beginner board for the average kid. I think we paid about $30ish for the board plus the cost of new wheel bearings. If he gets to be a skating enthusiast, I'm sure we'll need to upgrade. But for a young kid who is an absolute beginner with moderate interest, it's a great place to start for the money. ... show more
