Got this pair in today. 25Sept14 Awesome Bans. So real quick, they're big yes, but not like clown size shades. I read a review that said the polarized ones were heavy so they slide of the nose when looking down. Well, i took a chance and nope! They are light, not heavy at all. I think some people try to compare it with little frugal shades they might own. The glass makes the view clear., they hug my sides so i love the fact that you don't have sun coming in through the sides of the sunglasses. As far as feeling cheap? They are made of plastic so of course they feel light and cheapy, but they are actually nice and sturdy. Mine came in a brown leather textured case instead of the smooth black case shown. I do prefer the brown one they sent. Looks nice. Also, i know some reviews metioned the their shade were made in china? well, mine say italy in the inside leg, and mine don't "squeak" when i open them or close the legs up. Let me just start off by saying that as long as your buying directly from Amazon (so sold and shipped by) there should be absolutely no question as to authenticity. I received two of the three pairs I ordered three days ago (one of these, two pairs of Erikas - the third should be coming tomorrow) and they're perfect. After reading various reviews voicing concerns of authenticity, I made sure that under seller I selected the Amazon option for each pair (a few bucks more than some, but still way lower than the RP). I would highly recommend that if you buy through Amazon that you do the same to ensure a hassle-free and worry-free purchase. I first came across these about a year and a half ago after I somehow managed to bend the frames of my Ray-Ban aviators. I have a larger than average head/face, so as much as I like wayfarers and clubmasters, they really just don't look right. I ended up buying them for full price from a well-known online dealer (best known for their large selection of shoes) and was more than happy to do so. They're really a great looking pair of sunglasses. I gave my first pair a beating over the past year and a half, so it was time that they were replaced. Decided to go through Amazon this time around since I basically got these and a pair of Erikas for the RP of these alone. They're identical to my first pair (dimensions, etching, made in Italy) so I am completely satisfied. Amazon has now officially become my new go-to place for sunglasses. ... show more

1. I’ve tried on this sunglass multiple times at the mall at Nordstrom, Macy’s or at the optometrist... practically whenever I could get my hands on it. I absolutely loved the fit and look it had on me. I have a rounder face so it’s really hard for me to actually find sunglasses that I like, and when I found this one, I was pretty stoked. I debated over a period of time whether I should buy it, but the cost definitely deterred me. However, when I saw this pair on Amazon for a discounted price, I knew I had to buy it. However, I must say, I wish I had just bought it at the department store. I guess the reason why the temples (the sticks that hang over your ears) came practically straight was because they wanted to give us the option to form it based on our face…but it basically fell off my face. It was un-wearable until I took it into my optometrist and had them mold it to fit my ear. But that wasn’t the only issue: the hinges were loose. So the sunglass felt super loose around my face. I even took it into Nordstrom to see if they could do anything about it, but it could not be saved…so while I was able to adjust the temples to fit around my ears, the hinges were too loose, still leaving me with a pair of sunglasses that kept drooping off my face. My boyfriend who has a bigger face than me also said that it felt loose on him. He on the other hand bought his pair at his optometrist and it felt a lot tighter. Lesson, just spend more and get a pair that you can take in and have adjusted. It’s always worth it to have one nice pair of sunglasses. But don’t get me wrong. The sunglass itself is amazing. It fits both men and women really well. Just don’t buy it online. ... show more

If oversized sunglasses look good on you, these will look great. I've had them for 6 months now and they're still holding up great. Assuming you don't lose them the lenses make them 100% worth it over a cheap pair. I paid about $100 and for this price, the lenses, frames, and carrying case are an excellent value. ... show more

This review is from a guy. I went into a glasses store to try on Ray Bans, I ended up liking these the best for my oval face shape. I found the other ray bans like the 55m RB2132 and the RB2140 to be way to small. Additionally, the RB2140 slant downwards on your face, and definitively doesn't look good on my kind of face. The lenses are incredible on these (got the green) which maintain natural color tones and reduce a little glare; the polarization further reduces glare. I already got a small scratch on them though by dropping them. From other peoples perspective, the lenses just look dark on your face, usually can't see the eyes. Although they look dark on your face, while wearing them, they definitively don't seem dark and I can see very clearly. The style is slick, it's got the large coverage area of something like aviators, but it incorporates the underlying style of WayFarers. My girlfriend liked these the best on me. In general, I recommend these over the other models for larger faces and oval faces. ... show more
