    • A lot of drop, so it's quick but lacks power
As a -13 it's lightweight so a quick bat to use for fast pitchers, but because it's lightweight it doesn't have much power in the hit. My daughter hit well with it, but they didn't carry as far as she normally hits. She feels that it has more sting in her hands, again probably because it's lighter. A better grip tape and good gloves help with that. Lately her favorite is a -9, so it's a significant difference. We'll keep this one for certain pitchers, but it's not the first she'll choose. It's been a long time since my girls played softball, but one thing that has changed is the technology used in the bats. This Rawlings Storm is the lightest one I have ever handled and that makes it quicker to get around on the ball and the long barrel design guarantees a better chance for a hit. This bat is for my granddaughter who left her bat at the park and needed a new one for All Star Tournament Season. She is 10 and on the small side so this bat is fantastic and she hits like a the champ she is. My 9 yo daughter is in 10u. She plays rec ball only (no travel ball). She got this bat for Christmas and very disappointed it only lasted 5 months. She did some hitting over the winter but only maybe 8-10x before the spring season started. Now we’re only 1/2 way through the season and we need to get her another bat, sad because she actually really likes the bat. Just very frustrating and annoying. I’m going to look into Rawlings return policy because there’s not option for any type of replacement/return with Amazon. ... show more
