The item arrived promptly, within two days which was great. However, upon opening the box, we immediately noticed multiple dents, peeling paint and scuff marks ( as pictured below). Definitely disappointed.

Buying a bat for a young one can be quite complex and expensive. There are Composites, Alloys, Hybrids and even wood. You can easily pay upwards of $500 for a bat but is it necessary? What about the Certifications. There are BBCOR, USSSA, USA Baseball etc. What should you get? This particular Rawlings Peak Bat is USSSA certified. That means the bat will drive the ball with a little more intensity than a USA Baseball Certified Bat. Some leagues like Little League and PONY though do not allow the use of the USSSA certified bats and require instead a USA Baseball Certification. If you are buying this bat for league play you should check with your league to ascertain their requirements. This USSSA certified Rawlings Peak Bat is reasonably priced , will drive the ball faster and further and will take a lot of abuse. I like the look and feel of this bat, the balance and the handle grip. Just ensure that you are allowed to use it where you want to use it. ... show more
