My son is a very tall 8 year old, he is home run hitter with this bat, I recommend this bat. I'd also like to say make sure your kid has the right bat size as the wrong size is often something we see and important for learning and hitting correctly.

got both the 27 and 29 in bats to compare. Both are -11 but the 29 in bat "feels" much heavier. Actual total weight of the bat is not available. For those that don't understand "drop weight" well, like myself, note that length is a factor. Loud, solid "pop" sound when hitting the ball.

The media could not be loaded. My 9yo son really liked his Rawlings prodigy, so when we moved up an inch to a 29”, I decided on this bat as it looked very similar. He just started playing 9u travel, and I was initially planning on buying him a Cat Connect for $200, but he tried his teammate’s Cat and still preferred his old Rawlings. I figured if he didn’t feel a significant difference, why spend another $100? I have heard that most USA bats are fairly similar anyway. He has been using the bat a ton during batting practice, games, and practice, and has sent multiple balls into the outfield. ... show more
