The scale, for my purposes, will be used for weighing fish in an ametuer capacity. This scale is my second one by this brand. A 25 pound capacity will be enough for me being a freshwater angler. A drawback is that the scale is small and may be a bit hard to hold when weighing a fish, e.g., a five pound bass. There is no grab handle or much of a grip on the sides. Two nice features are that the weighing hook can pop into a receptacle on the back of the scale and, also, the small size, it will fit into a small, day trip tackle bag or box. ... show more

If you're looking for a simple to use, lower weight range digital scale for large mouth bass and the like, this will do the trick. Take note of the instructions because it's not intuitive to go from kg to pounds. My first one went into the drink (long story) and I replaced it with the same product rather than take a chance with something new. I've owned scales in the past with so many buttons and features-- basically I want to weigh my fish and be done with it. ... show more
