Description

Rancho's new RS9000XL shock absorbers feature adjustable damping with either a 2.75- or 2.38-in. diameter reserve tube. This massive shock body allows the RS9000XL to run cooler and more consistent even under the most demanding towing conditions, enhancing performance and durability, and is constructed with a larger than typical 18-mm diameter chromed piston rod. Rancho RS9000XL shock series are engineered with nine position tuning technology that provides nine different levels of shock performance, allowing adjustment from very soft to very firm. These premium shocks also have polyurethane bushings that enhance shock performance.

Replaced stock at 60000 miles on my 2008 2500HD with Duramax and Z71 package. On advice from Rancho I started with the front on the middle adjustment and the rear one click softer for unloaded comfort. The ride quality is better than when the truck was new. I will take the rear up a notch with our 30' 5th toy hauler on. Instant improvement over original shocks which were still good, so it's a good comparison. Just to fine tune I adjusted all four to one click softer than where I mentioned before too see the difference. The ride for the street and washboard dirt road is awesome.     • So Far Worth it.
Bought these for my 2500HD Diesel. Great Ride easy to adjust. Some say to run the rear one setting below front but on my truck when I did that I get some what I call dribbling from the rear axle so I run the rear same as the front. When I pull my fifth wheel I adjust the rear up two and it rides perfect. Very Happy with them so far. ... show more

Well, I bought these around Christmas 2017. I HAD them installed on a 2008 duramax. 4wd, stock height. I tow a 23ft trailer on vacations. And some errands in the truck. I put around 4000 miles on these shocks and they're completely blown out! The ride was terrible and making the truck unpredictable over bumps, felt like a Cadillac with blown shocks. It would just keep bouncing and bouncing making the trips In it very uncomfortable and a bit nerve racking at times, I've switched over to bilstein 5100 and so far there stiffer but feel awesome. I'm hoping the company Rancho or Shock Surplus will step up and take care of the problem! ... show more

    • Horrible customer service on leaking shock.
Decent shocks, horrible customer service. Rancho would not honor the buy 3, get one free offer. I sent them the original UPC codes and receipt, as requested and they did not honor the deal. One shock blew a seal and leaked oil all over my driveway: I'm 2 months into trying to get them to honor the lifetime warranty to no avail. Bad, bad customer service. ... show more

    • Worthless, Front two shocks started leaking in first 2 months, Rancho Warranty a real JOKE
Purchased these shocks based on other reviews, the two front shocks began leaking fluid within 2 months. Called Rancho, was told to discuss with seller, called Amazon was told need to talk to retailer, called retailer, found that I must pay shipping for broken shocks to retailer and pay for shipping of new shocks to me. What a crock of BS... I will be out 20+ dollars for shipping. RUN FROM RANCHO SHOCKS... RUN RUN RUN... Such a JOKE> ... show more
