Bought these to use as filler insulation for a broken garage door window. Unfortunately, as I am both inpatient and largely incompetent when it comes to crafts and construction, they did not work for that project and I wound up going in another direction. That is however, no fault of the blocks themselves. What was delivered to me was indeed a piece of foam board in the shape of a block. I am no expert on foam blocks, however the material was easy enough to cut and shape. Seemed sturdy as far as foam goes, perhaps a little brittle but that seems like it would be normal for foam? Were I to make a vaguely-educated guess, this seems like it would work well for the base of a diorama or a piece of faux plate armor if handled correctly. Who knows, they might even be possible to use as a piece of insulation for a garage door if you, unlike me, actually know what you are doing! TLDR: They are pink, They are foam, they are blocks. 👍

I can’t speak to how this product does when it’s being used for what it’s intended for, but I can say that it makes a great material to use for stage props. I ended up buying a few of these and this size/thickness made it perfect to glue together, carve, and paint. I turned them into coal props for a high school production. They turned out great in person and was honestly fun to work with.
