Once attached, color-matched caps can be press-fit over the screw head for easier installation.

I like how the color was as it appeared online. I ordered shutters for nine windows. Roughly have of the screw cap covers simply would not stay shut, popping open, which exposed the shiny screw heads. I ended up having to dab them with a paint I matched. I suggest the company take a look at maybe a better design for the screw caps.

These outdoor vinyl shutters were a great upgrade for our barn. They are lightweight, but still feel sturdy and durable once installed. The installation process was straightforward, and the included screws made it easy to mount them securely. They added a clean, finished look to the window without a lot of effort. The only issue we ran into was with the screw caps — we had a hard time getting them to stay attached consistently. Other than that, we are very happy with the quality and appearance of the shutters and would still recommend them.

These are a good cost-effective alternative if you don't want the weight/maintenance of real wood or the price. I was a little surprised that these are a lightweight vinyl material, but they do look like a beautifully paneled shutter. The negatives are with installation. They provide #10 screws which are an oddball size screw that require an 1/8 drill bits which are uncommon to get in masonry drill-bit kits. My house is primarily brick so that was a problem for me. However, if you're drilling into wood, or siding this wouldn't be a problem for you as it requires a quarter inch drill bit, which is very common in kits. Also, it would be very helpful if they would include templates for their screws to make the installation easier as they're slick and they slip and you really need two people to hang them.
