My mom bought this doll for me and it arrived the day of this post. The only reason why I’m even writing this review is because she is the first doll I have received out of my whole collection so far that has the worst hair I’ve ever seen. The hairline is so thin and spread out. You cannot really even style her hair because there’s not enough volume or even hair to style it. There was also multiple knots in her hair from packaging that did not help. When I first got her out of the package, I’ve tried to brush her hair very lightly, and it was just mounds of shedding. Her hair was shedding so much that I just stopped trying to brush her hair because I was afraid of just losing all of it. I even did a hot water hair rinse and try to brush it lightly after that and I had a section of pink come out of her head. in terms of her articulation, it’s good I didn’t see any major things wrong with that. when I was switching her into her other outfit I also noticed that her main hoodie that she comes with the shed very badly. She was covered in black fuzz when I took off the jacket and there was a small stain from the jacket on the back of her right arm. this doll is one of my favorite colors so overall I like her and I will be keeping her but if you are a doll collector that likes to style hair or like you’ve been waiting for this doll for a while just be prepared that the hairline might be super fine and thin like mine. I also have the green and I see blue doll from the series and their hair lines are so volumes and so well done that shedding on them doesn’t really matter cause there’s just so much hair.I do not know if I just got a doll that someone was trying to hurry but her hair is very fine very thin and there’s barely any holes in it. Other than that she is a beautiful doll. I love rainbow high dolls I think they’re so unique and interesting but when I am paying $35 above original price for the doll, I want their hair to be all done ... show more

pictures don't do this doll justice, she is STUNNING! she has a very unique facial sculpt compared to previous Rainbow High Dolls and the attention to detail is amazing. her black skirt with suspenders can actually be worn over her shoulders though in the box it shows the suspenders hanging. she has super long, gorgeous hair with little to no gel in it (another issue with previous RH dolls) and the new extra articulation in the neck makes a huge difference compared to my Amaya. all in all, for the price point, these dolls are worth every penny and I'm looking forward to Daphne showing up at my door next! cons: the box came damaged, which was fine because I opened her anyway, but buyer beware. these dolls are crazy hard to get out of the package but that's nothing unique to Emi. shoes are difficult to change but again, this is something I've noticed with other Rainbow High dolls and it's something I can overlook. the only thing that actually disappointed me about this doll is that she did not come with earrings despite having holes for them (same issue with Amaya. a couple other series 3 dolls DO have them so I thought that was strange). I also wish she came with pants or shorts instead of a second skirt, but I'm nitpicking. I'm an adult doll collector and Emi is my first Rainbow High Doll and she is stunning. Her hair is so so soft. I don't know why but I expected it to have like hairspray, but it doesn't. It's perfectly soft. The only picky thing that bothers me about mine is that her eyebrows are uneven. One is higher than the other. But regardless, I highly recommend her!
