The paint seems to be of good quality and I don't need to make two coatings very often. The light colors give less coverage, but I can correct that easily. I was impressed with quality of the paint and canvas,image was as promoted and numbers easy to read. Another reviewer mentioned the bummer is canvas is folded and not rolled so has wrinkles. I took a warm iron and placed a dry washcloth over it to flatten. Took a couple minutes at most- worked great! Worth the purchase.

This is kind of a tricky one. Make sure you have really good lighting and good glasses if you need them. Tons of tiny little spots and lines to paint. Also, be sure to put it on thick where the numbers are or you'll see them through the paint once it dries. I also trimmed the brush tips to get a more precise line of paint. Excited to see it once it's finished. I ironed it before I started and it didn't get as smooth as others have and you can still see the crease. Hopefully it'll go away when I frame it.

This was my first paint by numbers project. For me as a beginner, it was very complex, challenging and tedious. Twice I was ready to just give up and discard it, but I decided to stick with it. I'm glad that I did because I couldn't be more pleased with the finished painting. I completed another one and I am presently working on 2 at the same time. With experience, the paintings have become much easier and are very relaxing and fun to do.

fun and simple, even for first timers like me. the paint isn’t great quality so some colors will take more than one coat. certain colors are used more than others but even with stingy application it’s not enough, i had to water down certain colors so i could complete the piece.

Good for the price! Will suck up plenty of your winter free time. :) It came folded so I steamed the folds out, and I applied 2 coats of clear gesso over the canvas prior to painting. Light colors are very transparent, it's hard to cover the numbers and more importantly the LINES in the large light areas. No color reference picture is included so I always have to pull up the Amazon listing. Some areas are very small, but it's fun because details appear as you paint that you didn't really realize were there (particularly without the picture to look at!) I did add some simple ripple effects in the water which I think made a huge difference.

Le Consulat painting - It’s been fun to paint but the lines are very dark. I recommend whiting everything out before you begin. It is not divided into a ton of tiny sections but it is a little overwhelming when you first begin.

This paint by numbers is so good, a beautiful picture, really good quality paints, but why oh why are the canvases folded instead of rolled? The center crease will never come out no matter how much you iron, and if you aren’t careful you’ll warp the rest of it and ruin it trying like I did with my second one. Fix this and it would be 5 stars.
