There’s a lot of hype around Foredom tools, and I admit I was part of the group that believed the price was about the Foredom name. Well maybe so, BUT, this Foredom beats the other rotary flex shaft tools hands down. The sensitivity of the variable speed pedal is a joy to use. The large footprint, solid build and heavy duty wiring makes the pedal an excellent peripheral piece element of this tool. As far as the motor and quick change hand piece are concerned, they’re of excellent quality, and the variability and smooth operation allows for accuracy and adds the steadiness needed for delicate work. I am really pleased with the accessories included with the package I bought. The Lazy Susan shank holder is a thoughtful addition to an already excellent product. It took me three rotary tools by another reputable brand before I found out why the Foredom brand was what I needed all along. I’m a jeweler, and I have always tried to keep my investments in tools practical; however, this tools is what I should have had from the start. The difference after a couple days of work have already proven the worthiness of the Foredom rotary flex shaft tool. I feel confident recommending this tool. Time will tell as far as durability goes.

I’m a jeweler who up until I got this foredom has been using a dremel with a flex shaft. Which I thought was good enough, but wow was I wrong. The foredom blows any dremel out of the water. The speed and control are amazing and the hand piece not heating up is so great! Because this is the quick change hand piece the bits are slightly smaller that the hand piece holds. So if you started off with getting dremel sized bits, make sure to also get the #30 sized hand piece so you can still use all the ones you’ve already purchased. I’m definitely going to be buying the quick change bits from now on though because the quick changing option really saves me a lot of time. 10/10 would recommend and buy again!

Picture shows the blue label 110 volt model. This is the red label 230 volt model. I had to buy an up converting transformer to use this as I didn't want to wait on a return. Other than that, it's a Foredom...nuff said!

More power and versatility than a handheld Dremel tool. Good for hobbies, crafts, jewelry making, metal smithing, lapidary work and much more.
