I chose California King because with the king bed it just seems that sizes have gotten smaller like so much of other products these days the California king fits very well obviously because I have a king size bed. The material is a slick type of material. The pics make it look much longer at the foot of the bed than it actually is. The most annoying part tho is that the borders of the shams do not sit up along the edges. All the ones in the past in other sets don't do this. It just makes the whole thing look sloppy.
