Of course, they aren't leather, but they are attractive and pair well with jeans, dresses, and skirts. Easy to wash off snow, rainwater, mud splashes, and so on. I like the low heel and the square toe that gives me plenty of room. I typically wear 9.5 but, after reading the reviews, I ordered a size 9, and I'm glad that I did. I’ve had hit or miss success buying footwear online. This was a definite win! These boots are SO cute and comfortable! I’m usually an 8.5 so that’s what I bought. I was really on the fence and thinking I could possibly go down to an 8, but I think it’s just because the toe box is roomy. I think my toes would hit the end with an 8. So these do run true to size. And speaking of the toe box… it’s perfect! I have a bad bunion, after a failed surgery, on my right foot. My bunion doesn’t hurt at all in these and they don’t rub on my scar. They are lightweight on my feet, just slouchy enough, and the zipper is smooth and not noticeable. Highly recommend! ... show more

This is almost a perfect pair of boots! I love the look of them, the heel height is wonderful, the length is surprisingly accommodating for my large size 11 feet! The width is also wonderful, as I have the nagging beginnings of a bunion threatening to happen. The wide toe box really helps! And they kept me warm in freezing temperatures. Dry in rain! I do wish they had a bit more cushion. The biggest reason I'm taking off one star is because they're immediately ruining my tights and pantyhose! I'm a flight attendant and my boots have to meet quite rigid specifications. No adornments, only a simple zipper, no added textures or sparkles. Simple and black. My personal requirements are mostly related to comfort. But pantyhose and tights get expensive when you wear them everyday for work. I can't afford to trash a pair every trip. Every part of this boot works perfectly with my hosiery except the top of the zipper. It catches the nylon and makes a mess of it! I would love a workaround for this! I wore this pair of boots to work a red eye from NYC to Scotland. I had them on for 11 hrs. Took them off for 2 hrs (naptime). Back on for 8 more hrs for my layover fun. Off for 9. Back on for my return flight (another 10 hrs wear). I wore them 29 hours in a 43 hr period of time! It was my first time leaving my flat with them on! No "break in" necessary! I'm thrilled! I wasn't sure what to expect, given the low price point, so these were a pleasant surprise. The chocolate brown color was just I wanted. I'm a size 9 and these fit perfectly. I also have very flat feet and these were very comfortable right out of the box. I wore them all day long at work with no issues. The suede material is on the thin side, but held up nicely with hardly any slouching. There's some traction on the sole, but I wouldn't wear them out in really bad weather. My only complaint (and this is definitely a "me" issue) is that I wish the shaft fit tighter around my calves. There's about a half inch gap of space between the top of the boots and my legs. I don't need to use the zipper to get them on and off. I can't speak to how well they will last, but given the very reasonable price, I am very pleased with the boots so far. ... show more

Love these boots,and very comfortable! Calf is a little roomier than most but it makes it easier to tuck,and perfect for bigger calf people. I have the brown suede which is more on the rusty brown side,a very pretty color. Love the square toe, works for a wide foot.

Cute, but not the style I wanted. They do bunch up around the ankle below the calf, even though they do not roll down. I ended up returning for the kitten heel - but if you prefer a chunky look these are great and very comfortable!
