I got curious to try this after reading some rave reviews on Fragrantica (the best website for cologne and perfume reviews IMO, check it out) and am glad I pulled the trigger on it. It’s an Arabian of course, and it smells and performs MUCH better than its ridiculously low price point. It’s kind of a lightly spicy oud — I pick up on the Cardamon and Saffron notes more than the rest. I live in LA and find it’s well suited to cooler temps like our mild Winter, but I wouldn’t wear it in the heat. Now to be honest it initially smelled a bit “synthetic” to me (of course 99% of all colognes and perfumes ARE synthetic, even the expensive ones, but some smell more natural than others) but after it "settled down" it smelled great. And now that my nose is accustomed to it I find it smells good to me right away. And it lasts a long time too. If you have fairly conservative taste like I do you might find the bottle looks a bit gaudy, but it comes in a solid black leather case so I leave it inside that. But remember if you want to move it while it’s still in the case, pick it up by the BOTTOM of the case. Because if you try to pick it up by the top of the case, the bottom part holding the bottle can drop onto the floor.

This is a great fragrance. It was a blind buy for me based on Amazon reviews. It is very very wood smoky and no need to let it sit first, you will have at least 6-10 hours. The media could not be loaded. It’s warm, spicy, woody, vanilla, also powdery and had a base note of oud and amber. If you are not into oud you will smell it!!! I love how it has a long wear and beautiful smell.

I've been blind buying some Lattafa perfumes lately and this one is the best. Not so sweet, spicy and long lasting, it smell good. It took couple of weeks to get my hands on this one but definitely worth it.

Performance is good (projection and longevity) so if you like the scent, this is a 9/10 buy. It's mostly sweet and spicy, with slightly darker notes as it dries down. The specific spice profile is unique which is nice. Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of the smell. The actual scent is not terrible but the product as a whole is disappointing. You can really tell it is cheap from the smell and this is the only fragrance that has ever irritated my skin (I'm guessing it was the alcohol). This is also the only fragrance I own that when I smell the nozzle/atomizer to get a whiff, the smell of the bottle itself contaminates the smell of the perfume. It is a soft, aquatic plastic smell that is not there when you apply the fragrance. Honestly I just don't feel comfortable wearing this one because it feels so cheap, but that could very well be personal preference than anything objective.

When it comes to packaging, the House of Lataffa does not fail. It's sometimes unbelievable the quality of the box and bottle for what you are actually paying in U.S.D. However, with that said, Qaa'ed قائد is STRONG upon first spray. In no way is this a unisex scent. Unless... but that's a personal issue. If you remember as a child, the Red wrapper cinnamon candies, well this is the parfum counterpart. After a decent amount of time on you and your natural body oils absorbs it, the smell evolves into a pleasant long lasting aroma of masculinity... what a General, or chief "boss" is intended to smell as. Hence the name Qaa'ed. This is a scent that is a bit difficult to recommend because of its intensity, but if you're familiar with Tom Ford and his Tobacco infused scents this is basically what you're buying. I will continue to use this until I become comfortable with it, but nonetheless, the House of Lattafa continues to offer bangers for the cost ¹/⁴ tank of gasoline in most states in the U.S. The bottle itself is a mirrored Dunhill golden masterpiece. It has Wright and shine. You can keep the bottle combed as is it display the faux gold look with raised studs for maximum grip. I would have to say this will be best under Fall/ Winter seasons. This is an excellent men's fragrance... It's long lasting and incredibly masculine. The fragrance starts out with the note of Cardamom, then as it starts to dry down it introduces a slight "gasoline" note, a long with a bit of Lavender. It's very invigorating. Clean and fresh, not sweet in the least... Definitely for the mature male. Lasts around five hours on skin and nearly 24 hours on clothes. Highly recommend!
