  • They drip/spill everywhere and the red measurement marks wear off
Style: 3-Piece Pattern Name: Measuring Cup Set
I give 2 stars because they nest, which I love. Not sure if you can tell by the pictures, but the red measurement markings immediately started disappearing. I do put them in the dishwasher, however. Also, the spouts are deformed or too small because liquid slops all over the place regardless of whether you pour fast or slow. That's okay if you're pouring into a large bowl, but it's a real mess trying to fill a bottle or something small, and it sure as hell defeats the purpose of measuring when it spills. I'm ready to drop kick them to the trash for these reasons. I would not buy again and do not recommend them. ... show more

  • Dangerous if you don't like to get burned! CAN BE UNSAFE FOR CHILDREN
Style: 3-Piece Pattern Name: Measuring Cup Set
What happened to Pyrex. Not the Pyrex of old, design has changed and you should read. Replacing older cups with worn print. The ability to pour without spilling is gone. I brew hot tea, strain it into the large measuring cup, then pour it into mugs. Hot, hot, dripping spilled mess everywhere. No worries, I can get this right, I'll try again tomorrow. Three mornings in a row, three big wet messes and a couple of burns to sweeten the deal. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you need to pour from these cups and here is why. Pyrex simply depresses the edge of their cup to form a pouring lip. It is not formed correctly and it will drip every time, running down the side of the cup. Your fluids will rush over the edges of the cup to the left and right of this tiny pouring lip. The more you attempt to get it into your other container (tea mug), the more runs down the outside of the measuring cup! Very frustrating. In contrast, I have another design that has a hooked shaped symbol, like what would be used to anchor a boat, and it works flawlessly. Here is why. This other brand has a raised lip to the left and right of the pouring lip. This FEATURE acts as a funnel to direct the fluids (really matters when it is hot), into the pouring lip with great success. Notice the huge difference in these Amazon pics of two different product designs. Pyrex = no thought, the other = user design form, and function features. My 2 cents. I don't do reviews, but I also do not wish for any other parents out there to find out the hard way, these can burn you OR YOUR LITTLE ONES STANDING UNDER YOU AT THE COUNTER! • Not real borosilicate Pyrex
Style: 4-Piece Pattern Name: Measuring Cup Set
Don't use this for extreme temperatures as it will shatter. People have been severely injured by using this. Pyrex has destroyed their brand by using the same name for their lab grade borosilicate and this normal glassware.

  • Not the Same Pyrex
Style: 3-Piece Pattern Name: Measuring Cup Set
I bought these earlier this year and at first thought they were ok, but I was spilling a good bit of liquid, thought it was me, but then I noticed that the new cup set was dribbling down the side of the cup. Especially the four cup size. I thought it was something I had done incorrectly or was not holding it correctly, pouring too fast, etc. Then I came here to the reviews to see if anyone else had the problem and low and behold, they do! Yay!, It's not just me... Boo, Pyrex your quality and reputation are now ruined in our household. They have obviously done something to change the design and not to our favor. Now I constantly avoid using the new cup set and only use my one, I'll call it "vintage" Pyrex measuring cup. I now hunt yard sales looking for the original Pyrex because in my opinion, this new stuff is not the same Pyrex. ... show more

  • Shattered Expectations
Style: 3-Piece Pattern Name: Measuring Cup Set
Like many other reviewers, I expected the Pyrex my mother and grandmother used for many years. My own 1-cup measure is 32 years old and you can still read the markings. I bought this set after dropping my 2-cup measure on the ceramic tile floor. Imagine my surprise when I ran them through the dishwasher for the first time and the 2-cup measure shattered. Dishwasher safe, hm? Very disappointed in a once-dependable product. ... show more

  • Markings wash off
Style: 3-Piece Pattern Name: Measuring Cup Set
Bought these about nine months ago. Have washed them in the dishwasher once or twice a week since then. Kept them in a cupboard. The markings have washed off the one- and two-cup measures, so they're now useless. These cups are not dishwasher-safe, though they're advertised as such.

  • The 4cup doesnt pour well without making a mess.
Style: 3-Piece Pattern Name: Measuring Cup Set
I have a 4 cup Pyrex measuring cup and needed another. I ordered the combination pack with a 4 2 1 measuring cup assortment. The 2 and 1 cup work fine. The 4 cup Pyrex cannot be filled to the 4 cup line without it spilling everywhere when you try to pour it. I thought perhaps I was pouring too quickly or was just careless so I filled it with water again and again and you simply cannot pour out of this 4 cup pyrex without it running down the side. There is no way to undertilt it or overtilt it to stop the mess. It is kindof worthless for a 4 cup measuring cup. I went and got my existing cup which does not do this and sure enough the geometry of the spout is different. I posted a picture. My old pyrex 4 cup is the clear glass one on the right side in both pictures. The new Pyrex 4 cup that came in the set is on the left and has a blue color to the glass. The faulty spout is smaller both dimensions from above and from the side. Presumably Pyrex has just contracted out to a different facility to make these and the batch I got are clearly faulty. You may have a better experience. ... show more
