The Mens Ram by Pyramid features sliding soles on both shoes with a rubber construction heel and felt sliding soles, allowing for easier break-in and more sliding capability than leather or microfiber sliding soles. Featuring tight stitching with sleek lines, metal eyelets and supportive outsole construction, the Mens Ram by Pyramid is comfortable, durable and stylish. Remember to wear shoe protectors when you are off the approach and walking around the bowling center. Moisture, food, beverages, chewing gum, rocks, dirt, and other foreign materials can ruin slide soles. Protect your bowling investment with a good pair of shoe protectors. Bowling shoe slide soles (especially felt soles) require a breaking-in period in order to loosen and temper the sole fibers. Sliding on the approach will become more consistent with continued use. Products like bowling shoe sliders will give you additional length and ease to sliding. If your new bowling shoes have interchangeable soles and heels, your amount of slide can be adjusted for a totally custom amount of slide and braking. Remove dirt and filth with a shoe brush. Store shoes in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place to ensure shoes dry completely

Forgive my talk to text grammar. My phone doesn’t quite understand the southern accent! I wear a women's 11, maybe 12 sometimes (yes, 6 Ft tall with big feet) and knew these were mens sizes but figured they ran small. I’ve had no luck in the past. I’ve been using my ex husbands dads old bowling shoes from the 70s. I kind of stole them in the divorce. The only good thing I got out of him besides my daughter.. Anyway, I have no idea what size they are but they have served me well for eons. The look? Dirty beige suede and slide for days. I wore them out and have almost face planted many times. I ordered these because who doesn’t love anything with skulls added just on one side? Sweet and clearly mens sizes but unisex look. I’m no spring chicken but I can still sport cool bowling shoes. Ones that don’t have the size on the back cuz I ain’t telling the bowling world I have a huge King Kong foot. Eww! I first ordered a 12, huge. Then 11, huge. Then 11.5, huge! Then 10, and too tight. Ooohh, getting close. Ordered a 10.5 and bingo! They fit perfect, look cute and I feel stupid for not going with 10.5 to begin with. I just wanted these shoes to fit and I’m persistent and motivated so I kept at it. Much to the dismay of the company probably who wondered who the crazy lady is that keeps ordering and returning. Now they can know what was happening. I’m so happy and they feel amazing. I walked around in them with my chin up feeling so accomplished. They feel sturdy too and I’m gonna try ‘em out when we bowl next week. I’m gonna score score score that night.. I hope! If not? I’m gonna be sporting some awesome neon green skull bowling shoes..the color takes me back to the 80s neon movement! It makes me nervous buying shoes on-line with sight unseen quality and size. Bowling shoes have the additional concern of the "slide" performance. Well the Pyramid shoe materials seem a little cheap and the laces could be longer to allow more secure tying. However the fit, style, and performance more than make up for these minor nuisances. I used the shoes for half a bowling season with satisfaction. The sole of both shoes are fully covered with slide material from the rubber heal to the tip of the shoe. This is unlike some other brands, such as Dexter, where only the front part of the sole is covered with slide material. I read reviews where some people think the partial slide material causes their foot to stick or catch on the approach. I bought the Pyramid shoe due to these reviews and I am glad I did. ... show more

    • A DIFFERENT KIND OF SHOE

I did not pay close attention when purchasing but reviews seemed pretty good .The "felt" sole on this shoe is not your normal shoe and just like some of the reviews said, I had a rough time first few games because "too slippery" ! The quality of this shoe otherwise is O K considering it's low cost and it is comfortable with no "break in " required (other than the felt sole ) . After the first two games , the soles began to realize "traction" and since that time , I have not had any problem at all . I am older and do not do a real fast aggressive approach or release but for some bowlers , this "slippery" issue could be a bigger problem . At first I was thinking about returning them but I am one that appreciates Amazon and it's good vendors and I try not to abuse the great flexibility of their return policy . The shoes are " O K " for me now that the felt sole has broke in , they look good and feel good so I will keep them until no longer the case . One of the reasons I bought them was because from the pics , they looked easy to put on and take off (easier than my tennis style shoes) and from this standpoint there is no disappointment .... easy on and off is a real plus for older people ! ... show more

2024- just wanted to let everyone know that 6-years later I am still wearing these shoes and they are holding up great. Rolled a 300 with them in 2019. Not sure I can really say it was the shoes, but they were involved! I have given four stars because I used these shoes for the first time this evening. I want to make sure they hold up before I give 5 stars. It took a couple of frames but they started to work admirably. They slide a little easier then my last pair of shoes, and it took me a bit to get used to felt on both soles, but by the end of my three league games I was fine. Important notes: Size (9) appears to be correct Comfortable- not hot spots no blisters The “skulls” garnered a lot of comments from people on my league. Light weight but they don’t feel “cheap” Soft leather like material so they aren’t stiff out of the box. Slippery-if you don’t like to slide you may not like these. Would be nice if the right shoe was rubber and not felt (I am right handed). Low profile heel which I like. Even rolled a 235 in my third game—not really sure it was all the shoes, but I will acknowledge they were part of the process! Update- 31 Dec—added an additional star. Shoes are holding up great, comfortable, and slide very well. ... show more
