I love the icy blonde look, but. living on a well makes it hard to keep. Seems like as soon as I wash it a few times after the hairdresser, it's yellowed. I have seen this several times and read good reviews, so gave it a shot. I works well, only lasted about shampoos but that's expected. Are you wanting to brighten your blonde or tone your brass?! Get this and you will be amazed!! This is by far the BEST purple hair mask I have tried!! This works better than the shampoos and will last you a while! I have found this works with your hair dry also, I feel it tones so much brighter when my hair is dry! This purple hair conditioner has been a game-changer in my blonde hair care routine. It works wonders in toning down those pesky yellow tones, leaving my hair looking significantly brighter and cooler. However, a word of caution: leaving it in for too long can turn your hair slightly purple, so timing is key! Despite this, what impresses me most is its gentle formula.     • Works well but don’t stain your scalp!
I have been using this product on and off for years now because it does really work. I am not platinum blond (more of a honey blond) and I use this to help remove some brass ones. This works great! If you have parts of your hair that are more bleached than others, use this sparingly because it will turn platinum blond silver which will stand out much more. I particularly love how silky this stuff is and it makes my hair so soft and de-tangled after I use it which I love. The product also goes a long way, and I can usually get 2 or 3 uses out of it with my long hair. Definitely rinse it out reeeeeally good because it can stain your scalp/neck and it takes a long time to wash it all out. But the color correction aspect works great and the de-tangling is a bonus! ... show more

I was skeptical, no product has actually worked. This does. I needed to leave it on a few minutes longer but yes it took my hair back to the platinum blond my stylist got me to. And my hair was very soft after. Definitely recommend. This worked so well I ordered the shampoo and conditioner.

Like many of you, I saw all the reviews for this and hoped it would kick the brass in my lightened hair. My second bleach + tone appointment in the last 3 months was 10 days ago, and was all a good color at first; buttery with platinum streaks and a root tap. I have a lot of very fine hair, naturally dark brown with warm undertones. Something happened since to make some of it go brassy weirdly fast, especially near the roots. My colorist suggested a purple mask to tide me over until our next session in 7-ish weeks, trying to focus most of the product on my roots. It seems like there are three options based on all the reviews (which I read a TON of): 1) it works amazingly 2) it works *too* well and turns hair lavender 3) it doesn’t make a difference Not much of a loss either way for me, so I went for it. The instructions say to wash hair with shampoo & towel dry, then put the mask on for either 3-5 min or 10-20 min depending on your hair & the results you want. I decided to leave it on longer, after reading other reviews. I don’t mind if my hair gets a little purple for a few days (the instructions kindly include de-purpling advice if you don’t want that, which is nice of them!). It ended up closer to 30 minutes because I got distracted, and therefore was CONVINCED there would be a huge difference & probably be somewhat purple. I was so surprised to see otherwise!! I let my hair air-dry; when it was wet it looked a little better/less brassy than normal, but once it fully dried, there was hardly any difference, not to mention it was a bit dry at the ends (so weird!). I’m going to try again and just leave it for an hour this time (will update my review after that), but if that doesn’t work either, I’m just going to return it. Possible bonus for those of you who are interested: you can make a DIY toning leave-in conditioner by mixing a fingertip’s worth of this stuff with a few squirts of leave-in conditioner, or regular conditioner + water (mixture in your hands should be pale purple). It softens and isn’t sticky, and is a decent last-ditch effort to make this stuff worthwhile for those it doesn’t work well for. All that being said, I do think it’s a good product. It’s not drying, it washes out easily, it doesn’t drip, it smells alright, and it is very pigmented. I think the reviews & results differ so drastically because of different user’s hair porousness/absorbency. Maybe it didn’t work well on me because my hair is a dimensional blond with darks, and it just isn’t strong enough without bleach to tone my stubborn yellows? Who knows. I had my hair highlighted last weekend and it was so yellow/orange. I went in with a darker/reddish hair color. I figured it would tone down after a few days, but it did not so I decided to try this. I had to do it twice (10 minutes total) and it took the yellow orange brassiness out of it and now I have beautiful highlighted hair the way that it should’ve looked to begin with.
