I have ordered this product previously from the same manufacturer and it was awesome. No smell and it works great for bruising. I bruise very easily and if I put this on before the bruise starts it stops it from spreading. But this 2nd order is much different than the first. It it thicker and smells rancid. Quality control?? We got the oil to try on our kid who has really ashy dry skin in the winter. We are hoping it would add an extra layer of moisture on top of the regular lotion we use for his skin care. The oil has met our aspectation. It's not too thick or oily that it leaves a stickiness on the skin once we used it, it absorbed quickly and definitely helped with his dry skin. I have never used pomegranate seed oil before. My first thought was to use it as a carrier oil for essential oils and you can definitely use it this way. You can also use it on your face, body, and hair. The oil absorbs quickly and is quite moisturizing for winter weather. Since I'm a fan of Pura D'or products (and pomegranates), I was very interested to try this new oil. I've never been a fan of regular baby oil -- too thick and I don't like the smell. This oil is so much better in that it has almost no fragrance, is lighter in weight, and absorbs into my skin better/faster. I really like this product, but I deducted one star as there is no expiration date, no information as to whether it needs to be refrigerated after opening, etc. Too little info -- especially since some oils can go rancid over time. ... show more
