The cushion is way too thick for any serious good, and even that is as flat as the rest of the shoe. After I get proper insoles, another twenty bucks, I have hopes for these shoes. I need them for mountain biking. UPDATE: Yeah, I just replaced the insoles and these things feel great. Light and no thick outer sole. They slip in and out of the toe clips on my bike like a charm, and very comfortable knock-arounds. I got the wide but my foot feel caged quite well. Spiderman would like them. Just sayin.
