The media could not be loaded. I first ordered 11-wide but the toe box was snug. So I returned and exchanged for 11.5. It was still snug despite the extra space at the tip of my toes. That's because the Softfoam insoles are thick and cushy. Replacing them with my orthotic insoles for plantar fasciitis and bunions improved the fit. The Softfoam insoles are good for walking or light jogs, but I wear thin socks for a better fit. However in the gym, I find these insoles too squishy for heavy lifts like squats and deadlifts. So I switch to my own insoles on lifting days. After several uses, the shoes feel well broken in. The uppers aren't very breathable making my feet feel warm on hot days. ... show more

Maybe I lucked up an got the last pair they were trying to get rid of but I got them for about 1/2 the priced they are now. Maybe that's why I think their a decent shoe but the only thing that really drives me crazy is that the tongues on the shoe keeps sliding to the sides. I bought these because I generally liked them, but there was one unexpected feature that drove me to write a review. The sole-surface has much, much better traction on the wet, slippery, steep hills of Seattle that I walk. In Seattle we have hills everywhere, and it rains all Winter. Our sidewalks are a mix between newer grooved cement with naturally good traction and older pebble-filled concrete, where the pebbles have been smoothed down over the decades... and it alternates back-and-forth even within a single block. This means you can be walking normally downhill one moment, and then suddenly it feels slick as ice when it's wet. I've long looked for shoes that have better traction, but with no real luck. This is the first pair of shoes I've bought in a long time with a sole material that provides enough traction to easily handle the older, lower quality downhill sidewalks. To me, it's very important, so if that's something that appeals to you, then I highly recommend. Normally I prefer to buy 10.5 EE, but these were only available in 11 D and it still fits well enough. ... show more
