Perfect dress for a 1950s style cocktail party. I bought a crinoline to go underneath and it looked great. Fabric has a nice sheen. It’s a little stiff, but not uncomfortable. A little hard to iron out the wrinkles from shipping. Size small fit me perfectly. 5’4” 110 pounds.

It fit well, was a bit stiff out of the package but after a wash and tumble dry it softened up. It is a straight woven fabric and the top bodice came with a lining. The little sleeves helped me not feel naked I don’t like all my arms showing but short sleeves were necessary on a warm summer night. I wore it and some red Mary Jane heels, some hoop earrings with multiple color beads and beaded bracelet. Hands down it made a statement. So be confident in yourself and know who you are! I got several comments on my dress it made people smile and the bright colors were great. I picked this dress because I had volunteered to do art projects with our program participants to auction off for the fundraising gala. The art was all made out of dots so I had to wear dots! Being this type of retro dress I always have a crindiline underskirt to wear beneath it, it just adds to that feminine look and feel.     • Beautiful dress, just the right weight of fabric.

This dress is just perfect and just the right length, I’m 58 and it hits me just below the knee. I do wear a pair of exercise shorts, just in case the wind catches it but the shorts don’t show. I love the slightly over the shoulder edge sleeves. They just cover the shoulder so it contours the shoulder so it doesn’t look so big.. beautiful color and fit. The fabric is a little stretchy so it has some give to it when you are moving around. I’ve worn it to church and volunteer in the preschool room, and the slight gig and the fabric allows me to move around with the kids without problem. I’ve got many compliments on this dress. The fabric is thick enough so that you do not see through the dress, and you can’t see the bra lines. I also chose a darker print for this purpose, so I’m not sure if the lighter print would work as well. I love the dress so much. I am ordering it in the white with red roses. This dress is fabulous and fits well. The material is cotton and non stretch. I’m a size 16 and purchased the XXL. I got so many complements on this outfit. I purchased separately a crinoline to wear to poof the skirt out but it would have also been fine without.

This was my dress for graduation. I liked the design and style but it was annoying because the fabric was all cotton. In addition, my armpits were revealed a little too much. Not very impressed about that. However, if it was made more of polyester I would be very glad and give this 5 stars. But i'm not since this dress just had to be made with poor fabric but still okay. No hate though. It's a good dress. If you want it, it's not a terrible choice. I sure didn't know what I was getting but it didn't look terrible on me. The fitting was perfect so I'm okay with it. I guess i'm recommending it. But if you don't like it, just remember I told you so. ... show more
