I bought this to hold me over until Christmas until I could ask for an all in one sensor with dewpoint readings for $150. This product is BUILT WELL. It's sturdy for the plastic material that's used. It has a huge screen and big numbers. The readings are easy to read, accurate and update very frequently. Best of all its so easy to use. There is no confusing menu or weird buttons you have to push 7 times to cycle around options. There is one button for each feature. This product has a strong very vibrant but not annoying backlight that can be turned on or off which I like. Its extremely accurate and very responsive to changes in the weather. I am getting the hydrometer sensor as well soon since I like this product so much. THIS COMPANY WILL HAVE MY BUSINESS UNTIL THE END OF TIME!!!!! The product is also the perfect size. I want to write to the company personally and tell them how much I love this sensor. The only downside I have is that it would be nice if you could silence the beeps it makes when you push the buttons but I like them anyways. This is one of my most satisfying purchases I have made off of Amazon to date based off of price and build quality.

Ifly radio control gliders off of cliffs and mountain sides and I want to know the wind speed of that day so I can adjust the weight inside the plane so it has enough to penetrate the wind yet not to light and the wind can overpower the plane and this wind meter is awesome This Meter also has a backlight if you elect to turn it on

Despite the deceiving "QC Passed" sticker on the back, the first unit I received could not register wind speed, although the temperature and humidity functions worked. I guess 2 out of 3 merits a passing grade. Thankfully, Amazon hasn't cheaped out on returns (yet) so I was able to get a replacement quite easily. The second unit is fine for the price, and is doing exactly what I wanted it to do.

I have two other anemometers that don't look this nice inside, and this one measures within 1 MPH of the other two, so I figure that's acceptable for accuracy. I like the aesthetic of the display, but I it is not active LED or OLED. It's a backlit LCD, and outside it is unreadable. Other than that, it's a good anemometer for the money. I really wish I could read it in the sunlight. I also wish it would remember the settings when you turn it off. It's a real pain having to change the settings every time I turn it on. I'd honestly pay more for: - A less fragile device. Mine is fine, but I don't expect it would survive a drop on a hard floor. - A *bright* active color LED or OLED matrix display. - A few bytes of NVRAM to hold the last known settings for power-up state
