My husband recently had cataract surgery on one eye, and the other eye will be done shortly. He has always been far sighted and has needed bifocals or progressives for decades. The eye that was operated on is the one through which he sees best (nearly blind in the other) and they implanted a prescription lens so technically he doesn’t need glasses for that eye to see distance, but he can’t see close up. So the day after surgery we stopped at Walgreens to find out what power readers he would need and bought him a cheap single vision pair to get him through. Then I went on Amazon to get him progressives to give him more options for things like computer distance. This pair of progressives was about $15 and he LOVES them. He wears them all the time because the top has no prescription so they don’t interfere with his distance vision, but he has the reader part at the bottom. (I was surprised because I very recently had cataract surgery and my progressive readers from Amazon do have a little distortion on the top.) The frame style is almost exactly what he had before. He said in 6 weeks when both eyes are healed he may not even bother with a prescription pair of glasses.

These are very nice progressive glasses. They are as close to being a prescription fit for me as possible. I can see clearly at all the levels. They are perfect for watching TV, reading, computer. I purchased the gold pair, and I plan on buying a 2nd pair. I just wish they came in more than gold or black colors. I can highly recommend this item. I don't think they will disappoint, especially if you don't need much correction for your distance vision.

These glasses do what they promise, and vertically vary focus in a continuous way. The in-focus area at any viewing distance is a bit smaller than I would have liked. When reading, I cannot have a couple of full lines of text appear in focus at the same time, for example. Also the area that is in focus when reading or working on my computer is lower in my field of view than I would like (I have to tilt my head and/or look lower through the glasses than I would like. Last, the frame and legs of these glasses are very thin and bendy. While I'm sure they are designed strong enough to survive considerable abuse, it still doesn't feel as solid as I would like on my nose and the sides of my head, as if they would fall off. Other peoples experiences or expectations may differ, so your mileage may vary...

These glasses did a reasonable job in helping my vision needs but wouldn't stay on when leaning forward. The frames were a bit shorter than other adult glasses. and the spring pressure was minimal.

I use these when I go to the store so I don't have to constantly take reading glasses on and off to read descriptions of products. I like them for short wearing and tend to look over the top of them when walking around. No FAULT of the glasses. I have one eye that is 20-20 and one 20-25 so they are just a bit off for me. Good glasses!

The top glass is not clear;it is slightly magnified which was a problem for me. The lower magnification was okay. seemed to have a nice solidness to the hinges.
