I will start off saying this is my 4th drill in three years. I've burned 3 out! The other 3 were cheap and I got what I paid for. I use this drill for removal of dip powder and to clean up cuticles. Right away I could tell that this drill was differently made than the other 3 that died. I am a bit jaded at this point and bought this one for two reasons. 1. One of my favorite nail you tuber uses it . 2. It has a long warranty. What I like about it. It works great . The quality of the parts seem better. You really have to twist it right to get your bits locked in. The others seemed so loose. It is very quiet. I like that is portable and I don't have to have a wire plugged into the wall when I am using it. I have too many other things plugged in already. The only one thing that I am trying to get used to is having the speed nob up top. It seems awkward to adjust it but that is because I'm used the speed button dials being bigger and on the front. Not the top of the unit by the cord plug. I can adjust to this in time . It's not a huge deal. I hope this helps. I've spent a lot of money on cheap drills. 50.00 or under. I wish I would have just started with this one. Do your research. I have found that most sellers will replace your drill but it still breaks. Why go through that frustration. I only use this for cuticle prep. Often I'll have it running for 60 mins straight, it gets a little warm but it hasnt broken like cheaper drills. Hasn't broken after months of weekly use. Speed control seems accurate. The battery lasts a surprisingly long time between charges!

well I haven't even been able to turn it on because my unit came with a European plug and I live in the USA. didn't read anywhere in the description that I would need an adapter to be able to do the initial charge. I waited a week for it to be delivered and now I have to wait another 3 says for the adapter. I may update once I can actually turn the unit on. update: now that I was able to get it charged I am very impressed by how well this works. my last efile was loud and didn't remove hard gel or acrylic nearly as efficiently. this one is really quiet and doesn't get to hot either. I gave it 4 stars because of the plug situation. update #2: I have used this almost every day and the power is still going strong but the handpiece started making some grinding noises. my intention was to slightly unscrew the silver part to clean out dusty but I accidently went to far and the ball bearings feel out I wasn't able to reassemble it so I had to go buy a new one for 80.00 ... show more

I was in need of a new drill. My old ones hand peice went out. This one was a great price so decided to give it a try. I love that it starts out at 1,000 rpm my old one started at 3,000.
