This fits a little large, so I think I would have been OK with the large instead of XL, but it is roomy, and will probably shrink a little in the wash. There were so many great reviews of this outfit, I just had to try it. I'm always looking for something comfy and easy to take care of. This has it all. Fabric is very soft and washed and dried nicely. I am only 5 feet tall so I was hoping it would shrink in length but it doesn't seem to have shrunk anywhere. I washed cold and dried on low heat. Came out without wrinkles or anything. I will get the pants hemmed but they work with the cuffed bottoms so may not even go to that expense. I bought the wine color and it's more red but really nice. It's a winner in my book.

The pants have a very broad, tight elastic at the waist. This makes for a very uncomfortable fit if you’re an apple shape. I am normally a size small, tending towards medium (5’6”, 150lbs). I got a medium. The pants hit right in the middle of my waist and they’re aggressively tight. Not comfy as loungewear.

All my current wardrobe items were ordered as large. I'm 5'3, 155 lbs. This set was WAY large both in the top and bottom. The material is a ribbed, stretchy lightweight material more suitable for spring/early summer than northern winters. Since it is cuffed at the ankle, it wouldn't have been necessary to have the pants shortened. The color and style are good....just the size and material weight doesn't work for me.
