  • Works best for sensitive areas!
Style: Numbing Cream
I first purchased this product back in February because I was getting my entire chest tattooed and I wanted some numbing cream for the most sensitive areas (throat, sternum, and armpits). I liked the cream so much that I purchased it two additional times for my chest and later my arms, despite the price. The cream worked exactly as I expected — it numbed the area where I used it more than 2 hours. For me, the cream gradually wore off around the two hour mark. It’s tricky to measure pain, but I estimate this cream reduced my pain by 10-20% (for me personally) depending on (1) how many layers of cream I applied beforehand and (2) how long the area had been numbed before the tattoo artist started tattooing. I base that estimate (10-20%) on my subsequent tattoo sessions on my chest and arms — some sessions with numbing cream and some sessions without. I don’t know how much cream the creators suggest to use, but I used 1/3 to 1/2 of the jar per session (for reference, my artist tattoos in 2 hour sessions). I ran low on my first jar for my third session, so I used less on that session and felt slightly less numbed. I skipped the cream entirely on my 4th session, but afterward I reordered it for my 5th session and beyond. Later, I tried skipping the cream once more on my arms, but I subsequently decided to just order a third bottle for the most painful areas (my wrists and inside my elbows). It would get expensive to use this cream on a regular basis, but I would liberally use it every time if the cream was free. If money isn’t an object to you then I recommend that you use it everytime. For the rest of us who care about money, I recommend this cream only for (1) people getting their first tattoo and (2) veterans who want to reduce the pain on the most sensitive areas of their body. I’m sure that some people will say that all tattoos hurt so you might as well just let it hurt, and other people will say that 10-20% isn’t very much so why bother — for those people, I recommend that you go get tattooed and decide for yourself if you want the most painful areas to feel even a little less painful. Would you be willing to pay an extra $10-$15 dollars per hour (on top of the cost of your tattoo) to reduce whatever pain you experience? If so, then definitely check out this product. It’s also worth noting that it’s not easy to sit perfectly still when you’re experiencing pain, so if keeping your body relaxed and motionless while getting tattooed is an issue for you... (which I assume yes, because even a hardcore tattoo enthusiast would think twice before getting their entire scalp tattooed, because it’s that painful) ...then using the cream may even improve the quality of your final tattoo, at least in the most sensitive areas. Or you can save some money and endure the pain, but don’t say that I didn’t warn you! Any experienced tattooer will tell you that different people experience pain differently, and that not all pain from tattooing is equal — some areas hurt worse than others. • It works
Style: Numbing Cream
So I used this twice. First time I did what the instructions said and it didn't work. The second time I put it on for 20 minutes and wrapped it, applied more for another 20 and then for a third time I did it and left it wrapped for like 45 minutes on the way to get the tattoo. Bottom line, do it 3 or 4 times for longer and it makes you numb. I hardly felt this tattoo! ... show more

  • DOES NOT WORK TRUST ME! IIM COVERD IN TATTS
Style: Numbing Cream
So just to start I’m covered from head To toe In ink. I decided to just try it because I’m working on my neck and throat, and just wanted to knock it out in one session. This product contains literally nothing to numb you; which I knew before hand but was curious. So to start most shop use a spray that’s hard to get and has about 20% of those chemicals that end in “cane”. I Wrapped my neck in the plastic wrap after smothering my neck in this trash as directed. Session starts and it felt just like when they hit 99% of my work with no cream or numbing stuff. Immediately I just put my ear buds in and started writing this review. Next to true numbing creaming, 5-6 shots of tequila will do the trick to ease the pain; just a fyi. Anyone on here that tells you other has psyched themselves out or has maybe one or two tatts in common areas that don’t hurt ( arms, legs, etc). Again I’m covered and know what pain of the back, abdomen (and sides), elbows, chest, ankles, back of knees, foot, and hands feel like; it gets your attention real quick and hurts Bottom line is your getting a tatt and there’s a needle depositing ink in your skin and it’s not gonna be easy. Second thing is don’t waste your time or money on this watered downed tiger balm. Just go in and get I done, or take a few shots and some 600mg Tylenol and you’ll be fine. Save your cash and just try to enjoy the process. Unless you get the stuff shops with hook ups have a hard a hard time getting (20% cane stuff) it’s going to hurt and nothing is going to ease the session besides some tequila and zoning out. ... show more

  • Great tattoo numbing cream
Style: Numbing Cream
This stuff is great! I was skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. I tattoo myself, which is very difficult, especially when it comes to very sensitive areas. I applied the cream to my inner bicep (below the arm pit) and wrapped it plastic wrap for 25 minutes, I then applied a little more and re wrapped it for a total of 60 minutes. I unwrapped it, wiped it down with witch hazel and applied my stencil and got to tattooing. I couldn't believe it, it was pretty much painless. You could obviously feel the pressure and a slight sting but nothing like it would be without the cream. So I'm sold on it and I'll use it for those extra sensitive areas. Because honestly, the older you get the more tattoos hurt. I'm 47 years old and I've found that getting tattooed now is so much more painful than it was when I was in my 20's and 30's. The only downside I see is you get a very small amount for the money. But I've researched these products pretty extensively and it seems pretty standard, this product you get 1 oz for $23. ... show more
