This anemometer has a lot of functions, but I was mostly just interested in being able to check air speed and air flow, which this thing does without an issue and is quite easy to use for that purpose. All you have to do is turn it on, and it will either give you the velocity or the flow. If you want the other, just press the “VEL FLOW” button. Both of these also have different units of measurement, which is shown in the middle of the screen. If you wish to select a different unit, just press the “UNIT” button until you get the one you want. If you want to see the cubic feet per minute, that is under flow, not velocity. On the back of the anemometer, you have to unscrew a panel to insert a 9V battery. I wish this had a built-in rechargeable battery, but at the same time, a replaceable battery is also useful given that rechargeable batteries do wear out over time. I don’t know how long it takes for this 9V battery to die (there is a battery life indicator on the screen), so if the battery lasts a long time, the fact that it uses a 9V becomes less inconvenient. I wouldn’t imagine that the average person is going to be pulling this out and using it all day, and if you are a professional HVAC person or have some other job that requires you to test air speed/flow all day, you might be using a different anemometer. As far as using the want, you have to plug it into the USB port on the side of the anemometer. Inside the turbine, at the top, is an arrow. That arrow tells you which side of the turbine you should use for taking your measurement (and it does matter). Basically, you have one side with words and a thumb spot. You want the air to flow through from the other side. I have no way to verify how accurate this device is, so I can’t comment on that. However, I found it to be very easy to use and very clear (there is also a light for the screen) for basic functions. I wanted to use this to check the calibration for a Honeywell airflow sensor in CFM. It measures m/s and despite the listing stating CFM does not appear to have a direct measurement to CFM on screen. It's also odd that the meter connects to the gauge vis usb but the meter is powered by 9v battery. Why not make it USB rechargeable ? Overall I found it difficult to use for my purposes. I have working cfm sensors that I wanted to calibrate and I don't feel it is helpful. ... show more

This was just what I was looking for. I do A/C work and have been looking for a manometer. I tested this against my coworker’s Field Piece. The numbers were dead on. It is easy to read and lightweight. I’m pleased overall.
