As others have stated, I don't think these are 2mm, they are very thin. I don't know about longevity yet. The jumpers are tiny and weak. Overall I would say this is a great value for the price for a learning set, which is why I bought it. I think these are good if you're just starting out, but don't use it if you're going to give your jewelry as a gift or wear it a lot. I wore a piece of jewelry I made on my fingers/wrist and I could see my skin turning green after a week or so.
